Get OpenOffice (as mentioned above) or if you want to get into all the Google world getcher self a gmail account and get into Google Applications, where they have just now started offering Google Presentations

Openoffice.org has a feature similar to powerpoint that is free to download and should be fully compatible with windows etc.

The 'Impress' feature is the one that's very like powerpoint.

Otherwise, think about flipcharts, overheads, exhibition stands with posters etc., or handouts.

Ever heard of death by powerpoint! Try using OHPs or flip charts. They are far more "meeting friendly".
