My roommates and I are holding off on getting an AC window unit until next spring. In the meantime, I'm looking for a cheap window fan (preferably filtering). I don't need the reversible function. Any recommendations?

A box fan sitting in a window wouldn't be practical and also wouldn't have any sort of filter. I'm looking for a fan that is specifically designed to fit in a window opening.

One that supports the window through
good times AND bad.

The most important thing is to get the fan to draw outside air into the room - not just circulate air in the room - for that reason a box fan resting against the screen is the best.
