where your dishwasher is?

Ther doesn't seem to be enough space where the dishwasher is, to accommodate the tile board and tile, and still have the dishwasher fit in the space. It appears to fit in there snuggly.

I also asked this question... How much better is porcelain tile than ceramic tile? I got no response, so I thought maybe if I added it to this one, someone might answer it.

Your best bet is to unhook the dishwasher, lay the tile, and then re-install it if you have enough vertical room. If there will not be enough room, cut the border tile short enough so that you can remove the washer in the future (might have to replace it). You will have to add some trim to cover the void, such as baseboard. You just don't want to get in the situation where you will have to break tile to get it out.
