Feel free to change it. Nothing will happen. Although whey protein is the ideal post-workout shake, soy protein isn't that bad. Consume it before workout.

There is no "negative feedback" from protein supplements, like you'd find in anabolic and androgenic steroids, so switching to another protein doesn't require an "off cycle', as many drugs do.
One thing that I can tell you, even though Muscle Tech is a pretty sleazy ciompany that makes pretty poor quality supps, the protein that's in the Muscle Tech has a much Higher biological value than soy.
As far as biological values go (that'sd basically the amino acid profile {essentials to non-essentials] and how quickly the protein is digested and assinmilated), whey protein is going to be your best bet.
If your involved in a heavy weight training regimen, there are a few things that you have to consider.
1. You need protein first thing in the morning! That's because your nitrogen balance will fall into the negative range after an entire night without protein.
2. You should try to have some decent protein (including from lean meats and fish) approximately every three hours.
NOW! Again, if you're lifting heavy, then the type of protein is important. I use casein protein (milk protein) before bedtime because it's digested very slowly, so I retain a positive nitrogen balance throughout the evening.
Thos guidelines only apply to very heavy training. If you're not training heavily doing some sort of anaerobicexercise, then you can get all of your protein from food.
That's unless a doctor has advised you to do exactly what you're doing.
Good food sources of complete proteins (contain all the essential amino acids).
Lean meats, fish, eggs, milk and most dairy, though the whey has been removed from cheese.

You can switch any time. But, soy protein is very sub-standard for building muscle. Nitro-Tech is much better.
You also might want to look at Isopure.
Good luck!

Protien shakes should only be consumed if you cannot get the amount of protien from your regular diet. Protien that comes from real food is much more ideal than getting it from powder form.
You can change protien powders anytime you want too. There is no adverse effects in doing so.

no you should be able to make a clean switch. I change supplements all the time. no problem. if you get the runs or bad gas after the first drink, then maybe you should wait a little.
