To the Holy Spirit churches how????????????????????

How can you say you have the same Spirit as the Apostles and their disciples, when you have no Apostles to lay hands on you..

Paul wrote:

1 cor. 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall CEASE; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

and a lot of so called spirit filled churches, always speak in tounges, when the head Apostle told you not to..

Mt. 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and BLASPHEMY shall be forgiven unto men: but the BLASPHEMY against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Jesus never told His disciples to kill as the R.C. did to honour their roman god.

Peter and Paul never would have wanted the insigna of rome around their symbols.

The bishops of the Catholic Church are the successors of the original Apostles. And there is an unbroken line of laying on of hands from generation to generation from the Apostles to today's bishops.

The Catholic Church truly is apostolic in teaching and succession.

Isn't the 1 Corinthians 13:8 verse talking about heaven - propecies etc won't be needed then, but love will still be supreme.

There would not be so much teaching on the Holy Spirit if He was only given to the Church as a temporary gift. He is spoken of as a great helper and strengthener - why would God withdraw His presence just after a few years. The mohammedan religion exists because the gospel was not being preached in Arabia, and not preached in the power of the Holy Spirit - those miracles and experience of God's awesome presence helped very greatly in the early expansion of the Church, and are still needed.

He's the Holy Spirit, not the Holy Virus. You don't pass Him like a pathogen. And each of us CAN speak to Him if we so desire.

[edit] Picking nits, are we? We DO pray in Jesus' Name. May I not assume ANYTHING on this forum? And I DID answer your question, if you'll use YOUR noodle. The Holy Spirit chooses who He will work through, not an accident of who touched whom. Also, if you understood WHAT the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was, you'd know WHY such cannot be forgiven. You need to meditate on this.

The prophecy about gifts of the Holy Spirit ceasing refer to the end of the world and the end of the Church. As long as the Church exists, the gifts the Holy Spirit has poured out upon the Church will also exist. And the Church will exist until the end of time. Christ specifically said so.
