What right does a person have to push religion onto a child without giving that child a chance to know about other religions that are out there?
What right does a person have to push medical care onto a child without giving that child a chance to know about alternative treatments that are out there?
What right does a person have to push send a child to a particular school without giving that child a chance to know about other schools that are out there?
Which of these questions is dumber than the others? They all sound about the same to me.

I would not be upset as long as I knew that they had made up their own mind and made an informed choice as to what they feel is best for them. As I made a choice to not baptize them they have the right to choose baptism or not for their children.

What is the purpose in baptizing a baby or a young child who doesn't understand what's happening?

Acts 2:38 - Repent and be baptized for the remission of your sins...

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish...

How can a baby repent of his sins, when he doesn't even have sins or a conscience yet, or believe in Jesus, when he can't even think yet?

First of all, you don't have to be baptized. So let them decide when they become adults....whether they want to or not. More important is to bring your children up properly and teach them about God.

i dont think they should be baptised- but not because they should make up their own mind, but because God watches out for them, and would not send them to hell just because they were not baptised...

even if you made the choice to be baptised, you can still send yourself to hell by your actions after that.

I'd be very upset if anyone in my family believed in any sort of deity...

I'd be seriously offended to think that I share my genes with someone so damn retarded.
