Don't let the age difference bother you. I don't care what some of the other respondents have said in that regard. You should only consider your own happiness.
I must agree with those who answered that you should be near him as often as possible at work. Give hints that you are interested. Be pleasant, be attractive, and try not to come on too strong. Find out what he likes, and make that a part of your life. If he likes opera, you can learn to like opera. If he likes dances, go to dances. If he likes Victoria Beckham's haircut, think about that, too. You might find that you may be interested in a style like that.
Look on this as a game of strategy. It is like playing chess. Be aware of all possible outcomes of whatever you might do.Think about possible alternative outcomes of whatever you do. As a decision-making maxim, consider what is the worst thing that could happen that you don't want to happen, and work to avoid that in your scenario.

Make excuses to be with him more often at work. Sit close to him. Start wearing lower necklines and shorter skirt. Smile, flirt, make eye contact. Let him know you are interested. Occasionally brush up against him in the hall if possible. Goodluck

Wow that`s a big age difference!
But as long as he`s a good guy/ who`s not married/
That shouldn`t be a problem.
/just whatever you do take things slow.
Don`t rush into things to quickly..
Getting romantic with someone you work with is kinda risky. Be careful

Get a job at AARP, put a sign on your desk that says, "Free Viagra" buy him a box of depends...
I'll never understand women like you. Are you looking for a father-figure or what? You'll be missing out on so much in life by hooking up with this old guy. Hopefully he has enough wisdom to not get involved with someone as young as you.
