he probably thinks that was you telling him how awesome it was. if you want him to know you meant it i would suggest telling him at a different time.

I can understand why he would have been caught off guard. Women can make a more of a connection between sex and love than men. His reply wasnt unsure or rejectfull. He actually sounded happy to hear it. He just may not be ready to say it himself and he may delay in saying it now because he wants too see if it was just a moment of passion or something more sincere.

Yeah you freaked him out. Especially if he doesn't feel the same way about you yet. That's one of the worse things you can say to a man during sex if he's not feeling like that about you. Second worse would be "I want to have your baby". Third would be to call him someone else's name

Oh man...that's bad. I would just try to save face at this point and say something like "wow, I really got carried away during sex saying 'I love you' and all...sorry, I was out of my mind for a second." And let it pass.
If you really do love him then ask him what he thought when you said that. If there's going to be love there has to be communication. Good luck to you!

You gave him a HUGE compliment (at least in his mind)

ie. He preformed so well that you just could not contain yourself.

If you will notice, he is now strutting around like a peacock and has a smile on his face that Rosie could not slap off.

YOU did that. Be proud!

Saying "I Love You" during sex doesn't count for anything. It's the sex talking and not emotion or spirit. It's basically meaningless.

He probably thinks that you were only saying it because you were in the heat of passion. Try telling him when you're not having sex, if he says "Nice" again you have your answer.

Keep in mind that your boyfriend is a male. It make take some time before he can talk sweetly during sex.

well if you really love him then no..i mean you should always tell him how you feel when you feel it, but if it was just like spur of the moment and you dont really love him then it was the wrong thing to say. and myabe hes not ready to say it back or anything..maybe he was saying nice to something else...just talk to him aobut it and find out how he feels

You caught him off guard and of course that freaked him out. Poor guy was trying to enjoy his sex and you scream "I love you"! What were you thinking?
