Why would you do that? Let them think for themselves. =] It's the best logical answer in my mind. ^_^ What you can do is reveal to them all the different kinds of beliefs that's going on around the world today. There's nothing wrong with believing in a God, many Dieties or not believing in one at all. Opinions can vary a lot and this is just extremely natural and healthy for the human mind. Just exercise patience, open-mindedness and acceptance towards others and you'll have no problems at all. ^_^ Believe me. <3

I don't think you should "convince" your children of anything. As a parent it is your responsibility to expose them to as many experiences as possible without stunting their emotional growth because of beliefs you personally hold. I am not religious myself- I would call myself "agnostic"- but when I have children I still intend to take them to church on holidays just so they can make up their own minds when they grow up. I mean, in high school social studies, you study world religions like Buddhism, Taoism, etc. just because it makes a person ignorant if you don't at least learn about other cultures and beliefs. Let your kids grow up to form their own opinions, or you'll be no better than the religious fanatics who try to brainwash their children with propaganda from their own religion.

I think that is something that your children need to decide on their own. Does it piss you off when someone tries to convince you that GOD is REAL? You are trying to be an individual and follow your own beliefs...why not allow them to do the same? What is so wrong about believing in the Lord?

Personally i think you should let them make up their own minds if you try to tell them something that you belive they won't be able to think for themselves well what i mean is you have to let them choose but if you're dying to convince them of this then you should just plainly tell them that you believe he's not real and they will probably want to think the same as you and don't woryy they will be in deep confusion about weather he is real or not for a long time.

Why are you trying to convince them of this? Let them decide for themselves. Every person should have the right to choose their own religion.
You will convince your children that you aren't for real if you always try to make them think the way you think and believe exactly the same as you believe.
Children are sometimes smarter than their parents.

You should let your children decide what they will believe in. We are taking away children's imagination and freedom's away everyday in our society and forcing them to grow up to fast. Thats not fair to them. Thats like me telling you your parents are not real and they were just people taking care of you. Let your children ask and learn and then they will decide for themselves.

You can't teach a belief. You can voice yours to them, but ultimately they will come to have their own with time.
By the time they are 30ish, they'll be pretty confident in their belief.

you can do whatever you want but i feel taht would be horrible thing to do. don't ever force your veiws on your children let them come to their wn conclusions about life God whatever. To me telling them that God isn't real is like saying there's noghitng to save you. you have to do it all alone. I'm not christain but i feel that would be horrible to be all alone for no one to be on your side i hate to think that The laves chagning on a tree is just a produst of evolution. To me everything has a bit of magic. and whitout God or Magic then why are we hear everything become so very dull and means noghting to me. What a horrbile life those people who belive taht There is no God no magic and no souls in our bodies. They must be so loney and sad. Do you want that for your child. telling your child there is no God is gettting them one step closer to absolute despare.
