Depends on where you live but $9/hr. seems reasonable for all but the smallest/poorest towns. In Denver, I paid my pt nanny $10/hr. ...this was about average for infant care plus some light cleaning.

$9 -$10 is about the starting rate for a nanny these days. If you have experience as a nanny, or a college degree in a child related field then you can ask for more.
An experienced, mature nanny with duties that go beyond just child care usually makes betweem $14-16 hr.

I'm a part time nanny in the UK and I charge by the hour. If you look on nanny agency websites, they will also show you that the rate of pay is by the hour for a part time nanny. I charge 9 GBP an hour. I'm not sure if you are in the States or the UK. The rate of pay also depends on the area you work in. Hope this helps.

I would probably charge a weekly rate rather than an hourly one. Look at what all you do for a week and figure out what you think your time and energy are worth. If your other client pays you that much, I don't think that it's too much to ask. I'm a mom and I can tell you that if I found someone that my kids liked that took care of everything I would pay whatever they asked unless I truely couldn't afford it. Don't underestimate yourself.

i'm encouraging you in determining for it, you would be questioning why they asked to get you from the united kingdom and in all hazard did no longer get an egyptian nanny, I actual have an answer for that >> that's through fact egyptian nannies can't be depended on with young ones they have there very own lives too, and that they could be irresponsible , I propose you opt for and choose a sparkling existence :D

i would charge by the day instead of by the hour. Depeding on the minimum wage in your area, its hardly worth parents working if they have to pay a babysitter their same wage, if babysitters start charging to much then no one will work and babysitters will be out of a job.... daily or weekly is a good way to go, maybe 20-25 bucks a day depending on how long you are watching her for... if its like 4 hours then id say 15-20 a day...
