Earthquakes of catastrophic magnitudes have been occurring in the Mariana Islands region for hundreds, probably thousands, of years. It comes from sitting atop an oceanic fault line. Didn't you learn about earthquakes & volcanoes in grade school?

Space weapons are a bad idea anyway, just with our current issues with basic satellites. And Russia has always been wary of the weapons program of the US. Not entirely without reason (like certain trigger-happy commanders-in-chief), but sometimes it borders on paranoia. It's nothing new - ever hear of the Cold War?

As for the Iran thing, that's sort of what Bush was pushing for from the beginning: domination of the Middle East for profit (or hubris).

Solar winds as you described happen every so often. They are nothing new, and have never signalled the end of the world.

Any star with a gravitational field - meaning all of them - can have satellites. Just because we didn't expect to find planet-sized satellites orbiting a neutron star doesn't mean anything, other than more research into the subject.

Also, "velocity" means "speed." The correct phrasing would be "AT high velocity" or "in high amounts," though as vague as Biblical prophecy is, you can make it fit almost any period in history.
Oh, and the book does say that the prophecies would be fulfilled within the lifetime of Jesus' followers, just in case you forgot. "The time is at hand," and all that.

Yeah, we are probably going to get into it with Iran. It's about time. But it won't be that big of a deal. It will be over in less that a week because we aren't going in on the ground. Maybe a naval blockade for a few months.

Sixth SEAL’s Earthquake (Re.6:12-14) and its Culmination (Re.16:17-20) -

At the last PLAGUE the cities of the nations fall, and every island and mountains are no more (Re.16:20 below) because the continents (mountains – Ps.104:6 below) will continue to drift from the Sixth SEAL earthquake (Re.6:12 below) to finally come together as one land mass at the Seventh PLAGUE (Re.16:20 below).
