what gets goop out of your eye?

Have had eye problems for 3 years. Its only in 1 eye and seems to be always swollen and full of goop.It looks awful

I have been to eye doc and seen specialist. They said its just dry eyes but it only in 1 and won't go away..It looks like someone punched me.I was also put on every antibiotic known to man. Its really frustrating.

I just had the same problem. I tried two different over the counter eye drops. They would soothe my eye, but I still woke up with goop. I went to the eye doctor and he said I had an infection. I have lack of moisture in my eyes and some type of particle had imbedded itself near my cornea. You only have one set of eyes. Get to the eye doctor!!

Have you tried allergy eye drops that you can buy over the counter? I agree with the others though, i think you should have that looked at by a doctor, if they think its something that an eye specialist should see they will refer you. I dont think i would have waited 3 years for help. but i hope it gets better for ya!

That sounds like an infection. It got there most likely from you rubbing your eye with your dirty hands. If you go to an eye doctor they can prescribe sulfa-based eyedrops to get rid of the germs.

Be careful about washing before touching your eyes.
