It is time for all of those countries who have been criticizing us to step up to the plate and deal with the issue on their own.

Plain & Simple No, there is no reason what so ever for any other country to involve themselves in Burma's internal struggle.

no. Burma does not have oil.

There is obviously a resistance movement in Burma.. I hope the US and UK have learned from their experience in Iraq, and would help the locals (who know the culture and local politics) to remove the junta and establish a viable deomcratic government,

not a chance,there may be a request for limited military aid but not troop involvment,also,with the bad press the USA/UK are getting because of iraq/iran no president or prime minister is going to go down as the one who committed ground troops to that area,never going to happen

If there is military force used there... it would only be a limited conflict. At most, air strikes or a limited cruise missle strike. But neither one of those would accomplish much to stop the violence.

So no, very doubtful.
