Many ask the question " What is God's will for my life". The simple answer is to serve others. What is it that you love to do for others? That is the area that God has gifted you. Do it as unto the Lord and enjoy the blessings he pours into your life.

I was born to be that 'helpmeet' God calls wives to be. It manifests in my personal life with my husband as well as my professional life as an assistant to executives. In spiritual gifts, I'd say 'laying on of hands to heal'. From what I understand of people who are gifted to a specific area, if its from God and not themselves, there is a certain amount of humility or reluctance to flaunt it. Like you know you've been annointed (as David knew) but you dont feel the need push for your position. I feel that way about 'healing' people. I have heard the HS tell me to lay hands on people in my family and I've not done it-perhaps for fear of being mocked.

My understanding may be wrong though. I am bold in my faith...perhaps I should be bold in the gift as well. I will do some study on it

Well, I believe I have the gift of discernment. I don't know if compassion is a gift but I feel compassion deeply for others - Especially the elderly and poor children. I go on mission trips to Haiti every October to work in orphanages with the children. It is such a blessing to me.

I once heard a good sermon..."my gift is...my gift is...my gift is..." Well..the preacher was talking about "who's gift is it?"

He wanted us to remember the purpose of the gifts was this. They are from a supernatural God, for a supernatural purpose in a supernatural point in time. In other words...God's going to gift the person, not to reward the person, but to be able to demonstrate God's power to an unbeliever.

The gifts, all gifts, are available to the faithful believer. Today, God may allow me to be His instrument in healing...but tomorrow, I may not be gifted this way. Tomorrow, He may other plans.

I guess what I'm saying is remember..the gifts aren't rewards...they serve a purpose...and that is not for impressing fellow believers, but to demonstrate God's power, and for His glory.

Of the gifts He has given...I would say the gift of His Grace beats all others, hands down. Remember what Spurgeon once wrote? There but for the grace of God, goes I.

Greatest? I honestly don't know. I have been led to do so many different things where I had need of one or more of the Gifts of the Spirit while I did them....

LOL...was just thinking of the last question I answered.... I guess my "greatest spiritual gift" is that I don't accept things or people blindly just because someone says I should....not easily swayed...stubborn comes to mind (lol)...

I guess I would have to say I know my Fathers voice :)

Make of that what you will, lol...

Peace be with you :)

As one goes through life one learns. Use those things, learned, to help others. The best help we can give is support (moral or other) particularly when needed. With age we gain knowledge and wisdom that helps us spot these needs in others. Spotting need and lending our help can become an automatic response. Doing this and becoming a person who does this becomes in itself a pleasurable process.

My gift is in the minisry of helps. Background stuff, no glory, no spotlight - I tend to notice things that need to be done that nobody else notices - and it brings me no end of joy to see other people's needs met. Especially when nobody knows it was me. ;o)
