Seeds with flesh are inhibited from growth by the flesh containing abscisic acid. The acid can be removed in several ways.
About four weeks at 4°C is required to activate the enzyme that degrades all the abscisic acid in the embryo and allowing growth. This prevents the seed from germinating before spring. This is stratification.
Alternately once the fruit is eaten the seed is scarified by passing through an animals digestion system and is capable of germinating. Digestion takes time so the animal deposits the seed in a new location at a distance from the parent plant.
If the seed had germinated inside the fruit and was eaten the seed would be digested along with the fruit's flesh. The seed must be prevented from both germination and protected from the digestive process. So the flesh blocks germination and the seed coat is thick enough that it needs to have the outer layers removed in a birds crop or an animals gut before it can germinate. So the purpose of the flesh is to encourage seed distribution.

No because the seed requires nutrients from the soil which they can't get inside the fruit

it will germinate but can't grow. because there is no proper space to grow besides it can't access to sunlight to manufacture its food.
