dog strollers?

Question

i like to take my japenese chin for long walks but she gets so tired and i want to get her a dog stroller what do u think? which 1 should i get? o and i like to run to so i need a jogging stoller and 1 were she cant jump out b/c im shure she would

i do take her for walks and she does run and i would let her walk some and then put her in the stroller b/c when i take her on long walks now i end up holding her half or more than half the ime b/c she wants to lay down b/c she tired and little olny 6 lbs

Dogs don't need strollers. It defeats the purpose of walks. Go for shorter walks, because she's getting too tired for the walks you're taking now. For small breeds, usually a few laps around the block is good enough for them. A Japanese Chin is definitely not a jogging companion, and in my opinion, you shouldn't get a stroller. Just a shorter walk will solve your problem.

Just take the dog for more short walks though the day if the dog can't run with you leave it at home. Dogs enjoy running and walking so they should be able to do so rather than being pushed in a stroller.

If you insist on getting a stroller try going to pet edge look it up on google they have all sorts of crazy thing for dogs.

I think you totally missed the whole point of "Taking the dog for a walk" - You take the dog for a walk because they need exercise, putting it in a stroller completely defeats the purpose!

Take shorter walks so she doesn't get tired and run without her!

Oh, give me a break! A dog stroller? Come on. Your dog can walk for 9 days straight if he needed to. Your dog is not human...don't treat him like one. I've even heard of people giving their dogs anti-depressants because they must leave them in a small house or apartment all day. This is demeaning and harmful to our beloved best friends. These wonderful companions should be outdoors often and allowed to exercise, as is their nature. Dogs are biologically different than humans. My dog runs with me when I ride my horse for 4 hours, and she is in GREAT SHAPE. I do not force her to go, she chooses to and has a great time. They do not get too tired to take a long walk.............unless the dog is very old, of course. Then disregard my entire answer.

Pets get arthritis, hip displasia, torn ACL'S and so they are unable to move around like they used to (like humans). But most dogs still want to be where the rest of their fury friends are. I like to take my dog to a big enclosed park around where we are located and she enjoys it very much, but nowadays lays down most of the time. So I'm reserching strollers to use for extra quality time to have with her strolling around the neighborhood when we aren't at the park. Dogs need to walk. A stroller will cause the dog lots of problems. If your walks are to long just don't take her. Would you see a fox in a stroller? no its not natural and when we do things are not natural to our dogs they pay dearly for it.

Hope this helps but dogs do need to walk and run.... maybe you should keep to shorter walks with her if she tires easily and run on your own.
