Well, the problem is, I would prefer to get this one fixed as it has no macrovision, and I use it for editing and clips and such. I do have other dvd players that work fine, but this I will get fixed anyway as it is more useful to me in that advantage.

Jason: Most in this forum live in North America, predominately in the USA, and have no knowledge of the UK, generally, much less Liverpool. For UK specific questions, if you go to the bottom of any Yahoo Answers page you'll see Answers International. Click on UK and post and you will be communicating specifically with people who live in the UK and might have actual personal knowledge that will help.

You don't give much information so I will assume that this is a garden variety consumer grade DVD player.

You will find that repair of a DVD player (when an option at all) will cost much more than an entirely new player.
