I do have homesick alot, I was born in Guangzhou but have a relative in Hong Kong and simply love both cities. I feel like very exciting everytime I go back there to visit my family and don't want to come back to America. I immigrated to America when I was 8 so I knew nothing about America. It is simply my parents said it may have more opportunity here and better education system so we came here. But when we came here, it is totally opposite of what we thought of a perfect world. My parents work day and night at the restaurant for an income that is barely enough to pay all the expense. Also in America I felt very bored and like a prison. But everytime I go back to Guangzhou and Hong Kong, i feel like I want to stay there and dont want to come back to the prison. everything simply just amazed me in entertainment and the development of both cities. also, the neighbor I live next to in Guangzhou and the familiarity of my hometown convinced me that this is my home and felt very relaxing. and dont want to stay in America being like an alien.

I am from Hong Kong now living in Beijing. I miss the good food and MTR in Hong Kong. However, I love it here in Beijing so going home 1-2 times a year is good enough.

Yes, a good question for you is why did you immigrate to Canada in the first place?
What are you asking here? Who else is homesick? Who else wants to move back to China? Or why would anyone want to move to Canada?
Well,
1. I am at home, so I am not homesick.
2. I never lived in China, I would love to visit China but not interested in living in it right now.
3. Because Canada is a free and tolerant society, and one of the most highly regarded countries in the world. I've honestly considered it before but I am proud of my American heritage.

Did you flee Hong Kong when China was taking over? Once you are in Canada, you feel coming back to HK. Then, why don't you come home ?

My wife is currently in Canada, we are Canadians and she is terribly homesick for China. Many of our friends who have lived in China thought they were ready to move back to Canada but within a few months they have come back "home" to China.
After the energy and excitement of China, the bright lights, the markets, all the activity many Canadian people find it very hard to adjust to life in Canada again. Canada is in comparision very dull, colourless, quiet and yes, boring,
I sympathize with you completely. People who have not lived in China would not understand.

Why Hong Kong people migrate to Canada? Better education, better medical, better living lifestyle (less stressful & hectic)

Ditto, kind of tired of Beijing and the food here!!!! But I will go back to Hong Kong tomorrow for a week.
Canada??? Oh.. I couldn't stand how boring Vancouver was... and I hate Edmonton (I spent the worst/coldest week I've ever had there for a very stupid reason!!!!)
Canada isn't my choice neither!
