I used to refrigerate my nutella on the refrigerator door.. it never got really hard, actually. it just got a bit harder, but i let it come to room temperature before i ate it. if you want to, you can put a bit in a small container and just try it for yourself.. put a couple spoonfuls and see what happens when you put it on the door of the fridge. leave it out for 20 mins on the counter before you eat it, and it'll probably be fine. i don't think you NEED to refrigerate it, but just saying.. an experiment of sorts. :o)

it's too hard to spread. the best thing you can do with nutella is nuke it a little bit and pour it over ice cream.

i was thinking of freezing nutella as icecream OR heating it and throwing in bananas and gram crackers
