That too many people believe that theirs is the only right religion and that everyone else follows satan.
That there is many more Pagans than I would have thought that are open enough to speak about it. Which is great because I am Pagan and love to speak to others.
That some Christians really do not have strong arguments.
That when you need real information about your own faith you have to pretty much rely on the answers of your contacts because most others are going to be hateful things.

...that there are far more ignorant people in this world than I ever thought possible. I am astounded by how many people imagine truth is defined by what each person chooses to believe. Most people seem unable to discriminate between subjective opinion and objective truth. The situation is far worse than I ever imagined, even when my justifiable fear of Christian intolerance prevented me from openly discussing atheism with Christians. The safety afforded by this anonymous forum has allowed me to discover how horrible organized religion really is. People who believe in God represent a serious threat to the future of human civilization.

That those who shout the loudest are often the most bigoted and less intelligent that would otherwise seem.
That individual humans knowing little or nothing about Divinity (with great belief or no belief), are willing to spout off about the subject.
That every argument has at least two sides and there are always people willing to argue.
That those who study humanity can often find evidence that there is no truly intelligent life on the surface of this planet. (at least aside from whales and dolphins).
That a fool and his/her wisdom is soon parted.

1) I like your avatar. I've been meaning to say that for a few days. The green hair looks good!2) People like to bait Christians. Some are quite clever about it, and others not clever at all, just dreary. But I wonder about people who basically say that Christians are hateful and then post things about Christians that are even more hateful.

That unlike the atheists I've personally known (nice, intelligent, reasonably cultured people), there are a lot of arrogant, ignorant, rude, boorish atheists running around, even ones who propose having all Evangelical Christians rounded up and killed! What a cheery lot they are......

That despite all the reasons people are giving for believing what they believe (or not), its not doing us any good. In fact all I see is hate, hate, hate. Rarely do you see people disagreeing in a respectful manner..

Much of the world suffers from delusions. And our elementary schools are turning out young people with very marginal writing and punctuation skills.

I am inclined to are with Ray.
Living in the UK where Christianity is much more low key than it is in the US - it never ceases to amaze me how many people take the bible so literally.
