It's a religious beliefs thing - not a person-to-person thing....

As John L. Smith, a Southern Baptist who runs Utah Mission (an organization that tries to convert Mormons) told Christianity Today: "Mormonism is either totally true or totally false. If it's true, every other religion in America is false." To be tolerant of Mormonism is to put evangelical Christianity at risk.

I don't undestand why people throw the word "hate" around. It is such a strong word. Many people don't "hate" the LDS people, they just don't agree with the doctrine. The LDS church doesn't agree with most of the Christianity doctrine, I don't think that means they hate everyone who isn't LDS.

I happen to go to an Independant Baptist church, my Pastor has not once mentioned anything about the LDS/Mormon church, I really glad he hasn't. If I want to hear about Mormonism, I'll go to the FAIR message boards. I don't need to hear about, when all I what to learn about is what God has to say from his Word.

I don't know. Because us Mormons keep converting them, and they only managed to convert 6 of us during their huge out reach project in Utah. That's the rumor at any rate. I wouldn't take it at face value.

Or it could have something to do with the fact that Baptists won't quit calling Mormons a nonChristian cult. What's the deal with that? No wonder you're loosing members, if you can't do anything but resort to name calling. And that's what it is.

We are Christian. That's the simple truth. For us to be correct is not a threat to Christianity.

I'm a former southern baptist, now atheist, and the mormons I've met have been nothing short of the kindest, hardest working, loveliest people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I may not agree with their beliefs, but I have yet to meet one that isn't an all around nice person.

They don't, not that I know of. I've talked to some Baptists and they seemed like nice enough folks. Why would they hate us? We certainly don't hate them...

I do not hate Mormons...I worry about a flase prophet distracting you from true theology, and thus losing your chance for Heaven.
