belief are "ignorant" or "uneducated" is wrong, don't you agree?
A person Must think their own belief true because if he didn't , it would not be his belief. If you think the thing true, of course you must think the opposite false!!

Non-believers are ignorant to the truth because they have not been enabled to do so by the Holy Spirit of God.

Ignorance is not an insult.......it's simply a word that describes someone who doesn't know the truth.

That's why I cringe when people call believers OR non-believers ignorant simply because their beliefs are different.

Obviously, if someone has brought up an argument that has no validity to it, or they don't UNDERSTAND the very thing they are defending...then yes. Uneducated, and even ignorant would be a proper term.

I am agnostic. I don't think someone is ignorant for being a Christian. The only time I feel someone is ignorant or uneducated is when they defend a certain part of the bible, but know nothing about it, or when they say hateful things about other people...yet preach to love all people and call us non-believers hateful.

Using those terms is harsh...but using them correctly is not wrong. Using them simply as a last line of defense (if you don't know how to defend a point, you just name-call) or using them for people who don't think the same way you do...

Well, that's just ignorant in itself.

Romans 1:20 states that (paraphrased) "All nature knows there is a god." Col 2:8 talks about the vain philosophy of man. So, I would say that those who are not in accord with God operate under the canopy of the Doctrine of Man in failing to acknowledge His Deity. The word "ignorant" has its base in "ignore," i.e., fail to acknowledge. To that extent, I would say that "ignorance" plays a part for those who do not believe in God for they have chosen to ignore that which,(according to Rom. 1:20) they know in their heart to be true.

Well to be quite honest, some people's beliefs are due to their ignorance and lack of education. It's fine and dandy to believe something...go right ahead. But I would encourage everyone to research their beliefs thoroughly. If you don't, you really are uneducated on the topic and, dare I say, ignorant.

Those words mean the same thing, btw.

You are right up to a point. It is indeed wrong to go around telling people that what they believe is wrong just because it's different from your beliefs.

But I suspect there are lots of people out there who don't really believe, but who make a good show of it out of a kind of "oneupsmenship" thing. There are lots of people who know at heart that their belief system is flimsy and baseless, but they can't admit it because they have too much invested in it and they have too much pride.

You are quite correct that is why fundiees of all types (Christian, Muslim, Jew, Pagan, Etc.) should be ignored and tolerated until they break the law.

As Jesus said " Lord forgive them they know not what they do." I forgive all of those that hate because of having a closed mind. Just think if there is an afterlife the closeminded haters will not be there....hee heee heeee!!!!

Ask someone about their beliefs and when they tell you what they think as truth you say that's wrong?

No. The world works in mostly shades of grey, it is only the blind (usually religious) that see things in only black and white.
