Maybe that's cuz the apple isn't specifically listed in the Genesis account as having been the TYPE of fruit they ate.

All fruits are clean. So why would they list one as unclean?

Plus as apples are not native to the Middle East, would have been unknown to the people had God talked about them, and were not available to be eaten, why would he have wasted time forbidding them?

Apples are fine - it was the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil that was the problem.

There are no unclean fruits, after the fall.

The apple was not the forbidden fruit. That's just a fairy tale, it is not Biblical.
