My cats don't particularly like Felidae so I don't buy it anymore. It has a lot of vegetables in it - they eat the meat and leave the vegetables. They like Avoderm a lot. I give them that and Natural Balance, Lick Your Chops, CA Natural (they like the salmon and sweet potato). They didn't like Artemis and seem to like Evanger's chicken. I too try to stay away from a lot of fish stuff and rotate around the different brands.

Both are good brands.
Looking at ingredients for Felidae cat & kitten:
Chicken, Turkey, Chicken Broth, Chicken Liver, Herring (Source of Omega 3), Lamb, Brown Rice (NOT GREAT), Eggs, Sun Cured Alfalfa Meal, Sunflower Oil, Dicalcium Sulfate, Potassium Chloride, Guar Gum, Flax Seed Oil (Source of Omega 3) Choline Chloride, Salt, Kelp, Cranberries, Rosemary Extract, Carrageenan, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Taurine, Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Niacin, Lecithin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Folic Acid, Pyridoxine Hydro-chlride, Biotin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Sodium Selenite.
Brown rice is unnecessary filler, but not the worst thing you'd ever find. But Rosemary Extract and Carageenan are both undesirable. It looks like these two are in all of their canned products.
I'm not sure what's wrong with Rosemary extract, but I've seen it listed as an undesirable preservative. Carageenan isn't horrid, but it can cause ulcerative colitis and other stomach problems.
Avoderm:
Chicken, Chicken Broth, Xanthan, Potassium Chloride, Methionine, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Iron Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Vitamin E Supplement, Manganese Sulfate, Vitamin B1 Supplement, Vitamin B2 Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid.
This looks much better.
If I were you I'd go with the Avoderm. But you should know that you should only feed fishy foods 1-3 times per week. Any more than that can result in deficiencies.
As for the Felidae, because of the Rosemary extract, you could still feed it, but rotate it with the better food. Cats don't necessarily NEED variety, but if they will accept it, you could feed the Avoderm 4-5 days per week, and slip them the Felidae a couple of times. Or feed only Avoderm and give them one of the fish varieties on occasion. Or any combo of the above. Or just one. Whatever your cat likes!
