I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "machines". Do you mean gym machines, like treadmills and exercise bikes?
Or are you talking about the gadgets you see advertised on late night TV, that promise you'll lose weight without any effort, or with very little effort?
The only way to lose weight is through diet and exercise. It's possible to exercise without using "machines" - ie. one could jog, run, walk, do jumping jacks, sit ups, aerobics, etc. None of those require machines to do. However, one must make the effort consistantly, daily, and one must also control one's diet to ensure one is not taking in more calories than one can burn off.
That is the only way to lose weight.
Hope this helps.

Consume most of your calories earlier in the day. Have large breakfasts, medium lunches, and small dinners.
Also, go for 45 minute walks 3-5 times per week.

- Eat less calories than you burn. Usually around 1200-1500 per day, depending on how old you are, how tall, etc.
- You can do cardio work - walking, biking, running, jogging, etc.
- Drink lots of water - 64 oz per day at least.
- Eat lots of fruits & veggies and fiber! (25-35 grams of fiber per day reccommended)
