I agree with cpinatsi, it would be best to get Momma kitty to the vet for a check. There could be several things that would cause her to vomit. Could be intestinal parasites, a gastrointestinal upset or a food change, etc.

Depending on how old the little kittens are, you may need to give Momma kitty a helping hand while she recoups. I have attached a couple of links that may help you. The first breaks down kitten development by week up to 8 weeks. The second is nice info in a handbook format.

Hope Momma kitty is feeling better soon.

Purrs and prayers for you and kitties.

Take her to the vet as soon as possible. If she's throwing up water she won't stay hydrated, and won't produce healthy milk for the kittens. Throwing up could mean a lot of things, and only a vet who can physically handle and run tests on your cat can determine the cause of such vomiting. If you do not take her to the vet she will dehydrate and possibly even die [dehydration is a serious issue for cats as well as humans]. If the mother dies, the kittens will not survive without her, or at least have a greater risk of dying since, depending on the age, one would need to bottle feed the kittens every two hours [even through the night] and not with cow's milk, that would just kill them.

If she is throwing up over and over then she is sick and needs immediete vet care. If she drank her water to fast and she threw up a little bit of the water then she is probably ok, but again it would only be one time of throwing up and it would be immediately after drinking the water and it would be just a little bit and clear looking. Sometimes and animal can drink water to fast and they will spit some of it back up, but they will not continue to be sick acting or throw up again. So if it is anymore than that then you should call your vet . Only a vet will be able to check your cat for worms and please do not attempt to worm her yourself especially since she is nursing kittens, the medicine used could be fatal to the kittens.

That is very normal don't freak out. I have 4 cats and they will drink water so they can throw up the hair balls. She is doing it more now because her body is not getting the same amount of nutrients as it normally does. This happens when they are nursing kittens. If you watch her she will be spending a lot more time grooming herself than normal. She will be fine.

She could have basically thrown up from the strain of the vet pass to. once you're fearful, or if she maintains to get ill, it is recommended to call your vet to ask in case your cat must be having a undesirable reaction to the medicine. If she throws up after having the medicine lower back, I certainly recommend which you call.

Call your vet and/or this hotline so they can tell you how to handle this. A vet will know the best option for both your cat and her kittens.
I hope your cat will be fine.

You should take her to the vet, but do it fast, because teh kittens must not be left alone for long. Keep them warm in a box when she is away.
