Wouldn't it be more satisfying for him if you came to believe through questioning, and as an adult, without being brainwashed as a child?

If any gods existed I'm sure that they would be very upset that some of their creations wasted the equipment they were born with, such as the brain.

Good news, I did come to him as an adult. I wasn't brought up in a Christian way at all, not even christened. I only came to God when I had a personal experience of Him.
Then I used my reason to work out if I could trust the Bible, and more good news, it can be trusted.
God asks us to use our brains and reason, blind faith is not biblical.

Matthew 22:37 asks us to love God with all our mind, not with blind faith.

1 Peter 3:15 tells us to have good reasons for believing what we do, and I would not accept blind faith as a good reason, any more than you do.

Try reading some books on the subject. Lee Strobel was an atheist who set out to debunk Christianity, and as a hard-nosed journalist was very qualified to find the facts. He ended up becoming a Christian, like many others before him.
He wrote 'the case for Christ' about his efforts to remain atheist.
Try also an old book called ,'who moved the stone,' same sort of thing.

Pace to all

My God thought me in Al-Qur'aan....use your brain, ponder, think, reflect, contemplate again and again, for example in Al-Qur'aan no less then 56 times used for brain powers, no less then 16 times for pondering and no less then16 times for thinking.

Now I give you some example from Al-Qur'aan

[2:75] Do you expect them to believe as you do, when some of them used to hear the word of GOD, then distort it, with full understanding thereof, and deliberately?
[2:44] Do you exhort the people to be righteous, while forgetting yourselves, though you read the scripture? Do you not understand?
[2:242] GOD thus explains His revelations for you, that you may understand.
[21:10] We have sent down to you a scripture containing your message. Do you not understand?
[23:80] He is the One who controls life and death, and He is the One who alternates the night and day. Do you not understand?
[29:43] We cite these examples for the people, and none appreciate them except the knowledgeable.
[2:164] In the creation of the heavens and the earth, the alternation of night and day, the ships that roam the ocean for the benefit of the people, the water that GOD sends down from the sky to revive dead land and to spread in it all kinds of creatures, the manipulation of the winds, and the clouds that are placed between the sky and the earth, there are sufficient proofs for people who understand.
May God Guide us

God is happy that people believe in Him, from a human standpoint, I suppose. But blindly believe in Him? The Bible never talks about that,it must be your own term. God certainly has given us much to document His existance. The entire creation is the work of His hands. The Bible, a book that no one has ever been able to destroy, The Church, whch has stood against thousands of years of persecution and abuse, Jesus Christ His own Son sent to live His life on this earth. Countless miracles, and prayers answered. Internal peace and joy ...

There is only one God whom Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Mohammad (peace be upon all of them) believed and worshipped. This God doesn't expect you believe Him blindly. He wants you know the truth, feel Him in your life, talk to you and He answers you back in your heart, Try it.

Before go to bed ask your question, saying O God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammad, I have this problem and don't know what is right. Tell what you want to know. You know every thing and I don't know. Please show me the right way. Then you go to sleep. Usually next day the thought that strengthens in your heart is the one God has answered you in your heart. Try it three times. You will know the answer of God. Then you ask God, I wish to worship you and thank you for every thing you do for me but don't know how to...please show me the way. See how God guides you.

God: life and death are friends, live together. Life is patient and death is not, it comes so quick that no questions about it , so fast like a speedy train, it's gone then silence.
Faith is a gift from God and He is never been responsible for our sufferings. Neighbour to school , to the church and then where ? Lord Jesus Christ have Merci on us sinners.

"Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear."

-- Thomas Jefferson

EDIT: Paulo, I'd rather say "I don't know" and investigate the situation, than pretend to be certain about something that I really can't prove at all. It's just like Jefferson suggested. If your God is so great, I'm sure he's not going to be threatened by having people use their brains to question him. You can tell me that you don't live in blindfolded fear, but if you don't, then why are you afraid to question your beliefs, and why jump on me for thinking it's OK to do so? And for goodness' sake, "God have mercy on your soul"? You sound like an executioner. Who put you in charge? Judge not, lest ye be judged. Chill out.

I did that. Faith takes a certain amount of trust.....that's what it is. Did you blindly trust your family you were born into? Imagine that. We are God's children (speaking of the Christians) and our relationship with Him is one of complete trust. And He is worthy to be trusted.

God is truly happy that we love and choose Him as our Lord. We do not do this blindly but out of love that transcends all. Our children are not brain washed. They are taught to respect God and come to love Him on their own. Little children love God because they know that He really loves them unconditionally. As Christians we are admonished to read the Bible to be knowledgeable of our God and His will for us.
