It's one of the great flaws of Christian theology, IMO. You can live a rotten life full of lies, abuse, deception, even murder, but if you ask for forgiveness on your death bed and accept Jesus, you go to heaven. Meanwhile, Gandhi, one of the saintliest men to ever live, goes to hell because he wasn't a Christian.
Lots of Christians seems to use this as an excuse to behave badly -- including right here on this forum. They think they can come on here and mock and insult people and be as rude as they want, but it's OK, because they're "saved," and they can just go to church on Sunday and ask for forgiveness for being a "sinner." Clean slate for another week.

Well, if you consider being executed as "peaches and cream", then all is well.
There is no getting away with things as you intimate. Praying to God for forgiveness is not going to lessen the consequences, in fact, it will magnify them. For a God rejector would think it perfectly normal to try to escape punishment whereas part of the forgiveness process for a Christian is to actually wish for justice which includes punishment.

When you murder someone God forgives you when you repent because Jesus had paid the price for your sin. But the police can take you to court and have you sentenced to you to death or life imprisonment. So it is not peaches and cream.

When one goes to confession, you are required to make retribution for sins, to get absolution, only someone with a contrite heart would seek forgiveness, murder is no exception, but retribution can hardly be made for a murder, so mans punishment must be met, no peaches and cream now.

I think you're making a rather large generalization there. There are some "Christian" religions who believe that all you have to do is say that you "accept Christ" and you can do whatever you want. If you actually read Christ's teachings though, that is not a Christian belief at all.
Of course, people who truly accept Christ, and his teachings, don't go around murdering people.

What do you think will happen if you murder half the people? People will persecute you and maybe even hang you. There goes the answer to your prayer, God would have wanted it that way, just as you have wanted to kill half of the people.

Why should it be frightening? If the murderer is repentant, he will be forgiven. If he is just uttering the words as a pretense, he won't be.

Don't you want a God that will forgive all sin?
Sin does not send us to hell.
We go to hell for rejecting Jesus.
Sinners go to heaven thru Jesus.
Christians suffer loss of blessing on earth and loss of reward in heaven for their sin.
I wish that i ans all Christan's didn't sins but everyone does.
We need to live for Jesus not sinning expecting forgiveness

it is ridiculous indeed .
i believe that we are all responsible for our actions deeds and thoughts and the effect they have on others.
Jesus did not die for the sins of Christians . it would be unknown what sins would be committed at the time of his death.
god does not punish our deeds he lets us feel the benifit or pain of our actions ourselves . in this or the next life.
