Charles...anyone who says any 800+HP machine with rear wheel drive, going into turns at 120-190MPH does not have much experience in the area, yo udo not think so, try a nicely hooked up street maching, into a right hand turn and hit it full throttle in second gear coming out.
I have said this several times, and I will say it again, the COT takes the car out of the hands of the engineers and puts the race in the hands of the drivers, where it belongs.
The engineers have been able to adjust downforce to a point that the certain teams with funding can develop better cars than other, and stock car racing is about similiar cars with the deciding difference being your driver, not your fenders.
We will see, even at slower speeds much more unpredictable and exciting racing, and I am finding the fans most oppossed to the COT are the fans of the dominating drivers....whats the matter?

You all love the COY, because that car was so twisted, that it because it became too easy to drive. Drivers did not have to work hard to drive it. Some teams were just about building cars for each individual track. The car was in the engineer's hands, and you needed the best ones you could buy.
Driver are not as able to drive the COT as easily. They are actually having to drive again. Teams were using the road course car on the short track. The short track car can run on Talladega.
You might as well get use to the COT or not watch Cup, because the COY's late race is Homestead.

I like the cars that have been here for several years, the COY in other words. The new car is ok and it's here to stay, but racing is about going fast and the new car is meant to be slower which it is. I've been collecting the die cast of the COY and right now I'm not interested in the new ones.

As a Nascar fan since 93 I prefer the COY . The only reason that I like the COT is the safety issues.

I like the Old Car(C.O.Y) because they actually have identities. The Car's of Tomorrow are IROC cars, just ugly. Doesn't mean I hate the car's, the racing in them is for the most part, great, I just hate how the cars don't have any identity except for the stickers naming the brand of car.

I want to see how the CoT does at Talledega before I can make that decision.
I think the CoT can actually be racier on certain tracks, like the road courses, but needs some work on the short tracks. I like the way the bumpers match up on the CoT, which will be telling at 'Dega.

I prefer the current cars, but after this year we don't have much choice. Too bad, it will change racing as we know it today.
