No.
Sometimes it is the result of carelessness or ignorance, but in most cases it is the result of being a biological organism in a world in which disease, microorganisms, decay and death are inevitable.
The possibility that disease or illness or accident can strike causes a lot of people anxiety. There are choices people can make to possibly avoid or avert these things to a limited extent, but this usually has nothing to do with morality.

illness doesnt have to be the cause of sin,.,, some good ppl also get ill, illness is somestimes good for a person bcuz it purifies the person from his sins, and makes them closer to god,, so u dont always look at illness from the negative side... it also has good sides.. and its always good to thank God for illness and health.. and god will be happy with u if u have patience on the illness and always feel the love of god and have faith in him that whatever happens is for ur own good,, whether u can see it the good in it or not..sometimes god tests ppl with illness, and see how good they are.. and those who have patience on illness gets higher ranks at heaven and would get blesses....
this is what the prophet Muhamad peace upon him taught us.

Of course you get ill when you eat the whole cow, drink the whole month in a row and have sex with everyone and everywhere.
But what is it "sin"? Did anyone threaten you with that word? Don't let them to!

I believe all illness came about because of original sin.
But to think that one can get sick because of ones actions now ? In some cases yes, like abusing ones body, but I think we need to take a balanced view on this before we all turn into paranoid religionists i.e. beating children for exorcism purposes just because they're playing up ??

No, that's just nonsense. feelings of guilt though, along with other negative feelings- anxiety, depression etc,can have a negative effect on our physical well-being. So the trick is, if you're going to sin, don't feel bad about it!!
Having said all that, in my youth I picked up a couple of 'illnesses' as a direct result of 'sinning', so do be careful.

It can be. For example, somebody could commit what they regard as a sin, and then suffer stress or a stress-related illness as a result.

Funny thing is I used to think but being a scizophrenic for the past four years has taught me it's not. There are many things that cause mental illness and this can't be helped it's just the way god made us and is a challenge for you to either make the right decision or the wrong decision apon your jouneys for life.

Not sure. Maybe you want to pose that question to a three year old leukemia patient. If illness is caused by sin, I wonder what small, sick children have done that is so terribly bad.
God bless the children, and keep them safe.

Usually man made conditions or man made atmospheres that we put ourselves in make us sick. Although God is capable of infecting anyone or anything with a plague or disease. Most diseases and plagues though come from unclean or unsanitary conditions and everyone knows people for the most part are very unsanitary. Just look around you I bet you could see 10 unsanitary things without getting out of your chair. Then go outside and look around at the filth of the world. So I would say the answer to the question would be yes.

Sin can cause some illness, sin means disorder, if I catch std by being careless, that is my sin, or catch it from a cheating partner, that is the result of her sin.
