My mother in law sends cards every year but this year nothing, but what makes it even worse is my son will be 3 tomorrow and she hasn't even sent a card for him!! I am of course annoyed, not so much about my card but for my son...who at the end of the day is her grandson. If I moan my husband sticks up for her...would this annoy anyone else?

Some people are better at remembering to do things like that. I have to ask my daughter at least 6 times a year, which grandchild's B-D is next, and what date. I just can't seem to keep all of the dates straight. One time I even forgot my own daughter's birthday, and had to call her the next day to apologize. I have even forgotten my own!!

Yep... I wouldn't be very impressed either.

Not that I didn't get a card but like you that her Grandchild is missing out.

Oh Sorry Most important detail was forgotten.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

&

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY to the young man of the house.

if i were you i will call her. and said:

"mom, today is junior birthday dont you remember? he keep asking about you, he remember you very often these few days, can you come to our place ill prepare your favorite dishes, and of curse junior will loves your visit, he missed you now you seems forget about him, i just remember he wanting to make a birthday wish for you!"

IN CERTAIN way, mother in-law will be so happy to hear what you said because you seems so respect her, you must telling her this sentence in a little bit "spoil" sound, anyway dont be too iritate about birthday card, trust me, it is not because they dont care, but it is because they are little bit busy, or maybe even worsen than you ever tought. take it easy, maybe she prepare something special for "junior"

yes im sure it would annoy me if i had a mother in law...its like ppl forgetting abt my bday, but if she lives further away, mayb the card is on its way? just taking its time...u know how snail mail is....if she remembers every time and forget once...i dont think u shudn't get too worked up about it....mayb she genuinely forget...all u need to do next time u talk to her is mention it...and see why the card didnt get to u?

happy b'day
Call her up and ask for her blessings.
She will be really happy and u might get to know the reason also. try to resolve things rather then complicating them further. Trust me u will feel much better

If you have a three year old then it is time you stoped acting like a ten year old.

It is her choice to send a card or not. Her choice. She does not owe you anything.

She maybe not interested.
You do not need a card for your son from grandmother who
is not interested.
you only need a card who loves your son.
If your son is keeping well, then does not matter.
Don't you think so??
