Sure, if it works for you.

Make sure you don't fall into the trap of thinking you are mising or depriving yourself of something though. It might feel like hard work then. Rather than "cutting out", why not think along the lines that you are giving yourself the chance to try new foods. You might find it easier that way.

Remember not to stop at Chicken or fish though, if you are going veggie for animal welfare concerns these 2 species get just as much a hard time as beef/pig/sheep.

Best of luck with it.

Maybe surf the vegetarian society web pages. they have some great info about foods, nutrition etc.

Whatever works for you is fine. Some people cut out types of meat, but if having "veggie days" works for you, and increasing them until you become full-time vegetarian, go for it. One guide I have read actually suggests gradually reducing the days you eat meat.

Good luck!

Congratulations on a great decision!
You have just saved 100 animals, the environment and your health. Who cares about the Hippie comments. Are Larry Hagman, Clint Eastwood, Bryan Adams or Ted Danson and many more hippies? They are all Veggies...

Certainly!!!

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, either.
It's all about the lifestyle choices YOU want to make, and if you choose to go meatless gradually, more power to you. Even if you just lessen your red meat intake and never actually eliminate the meat, you'll lead a healthier life.

Good luck.

Why wouldn't it be okay? You are the one in control. This is you decision and you need to act like it. Just be sure that you keep putting enough nutrients in your body. (www.moreenergyforyouonline.com)
My daughter is vegetarian, and she makes sure she still keeps up her metabolism and gets the proper nutrition that her body requires. It's tough to do, but stick to your guns, it's your body and you need to make the choice. The biggest problem that you'll run into is people trying to tell you how to eat. Just keep healthy and eat right, you can do it, and good luck!!

I went cold turkey and it was hard.. You really have to be a strong and committed person, and if you can do that you can commit to anything.. unless you don't really like meat in the first place, but you sound like you're on the right track!

You can do that.

What a lot of people do is eliminate different meat groups in stages: beef and veal first, then pork, then chicken, and finally fish.

It is a lifestyle change you can do what ever you want.

Do what makes you happy. I found that I can not eat beef or pork due to a food allergy . I have not had it for 14 years now and I don't miss it!
