It seems like there's a ton of illegal immigrants here. If border patrol is so strict how do they keep getting across? What exactly is it I hear about them paying people to get them here? Do they hide in the trunk or what?? It makes no sense to me!
And if they do get caught...what then? What about the people bringing them here?
I'm not thinking of smuggling in a mexican...just curious....thanks :)
Oh, and please keep your snide bigot remarks to yourself. I take offense to them, and i am of no mexican descent. I can only imagine how they feel. You only make yourself sound stupid. You should try living on $10 a week with dirt floors and no food.

Wow, everyone is answering with such hateful remarks! I have not illegally crossed the border...I'm not mexican at all....I'm Irish in fact. But I do know that very few of these rude comments are coming from native americans, therefore all of our ancestors were illegal. Well, except for those who were brought here AGAINST their will!

Those no good criminals do whatever it takes to get into the country. Hide in trunks, run for the border, whatever it takes. It usually takes them a couple tries before they make it.

Many do not make it. There's 171 miles along the Rio Grande that is not patrolled so easily. . It's dry and dusty and hard to cross. So far this year, 45 bodies have been found on the Texas side. These await identification and then are buried in a pauper's grave if no one claims them.
The people who they pay to bring them across are
" coyotes". Some use trucks or cars or false documents. Many make it.. many don't. They are returned home and try again. Many coyotes take their money and then take off. Once across the border they are dropped off in sanctuary cities like LA and Houston and El Paso or Laredo. There, they are on their own where they try to escape the local ICE who are always on the prowl. Some already have police records in Mexico or beyond.
Trying to enter illegally has huge risks and they are aware before starting out. It's all about choices.

Most of the methods vary from region to region. However, I will preface with a comment about border patrol: it is hopelessly underfunded to even begin to patrol the entire Mexican-American Border.
Anyway, many illegal immigrants simply walk across the border. For vast streches of the border, there is no fence, just desert. Another common method is the payment of "coyotes" to smuggle individuals or groups of illegal immigrants across the border, for a fee of generally around 1,000 USD. They are usually hidden in the back of large trucks. Yet more smuggle themselves across in boats, travelling across the Gulf of Mexico, and landing on stretches of deserted U.S. shoreline.
Finally, when they are caught they are turned over to immigration services, who then turn them over to Mexican authorities at the border.

Some other ways are by train, and I read about some tunnels that carry water. Also trying to dig underground. I get a kick out of them trying to sneak in at night with that night vision and you can see them as bright white bodies in a row-then busted-cool. If some people lived in dirt huts with no food, then they chose to live that way. Well, they would be dead-no water either? What was the 10.00 spent on? Drugs? Anyway, nowadays with all the billions sent over their[most of it drug sales cash] I doubt people are very poor anymore. And lots of jobs there-haven`t read anything how bad it is there except for crime-just don`t mess with them drug dealers and you won`t get beheaded. There are worse off people in other countries who are really starving to death and running out of water-now those are the people we should be helping. Is Alvira that went back to mexico starving to death in a shack? I doubt it. No school for her kid because he`s so hungry and too weak because of no food? I don`t feel sorry for anybody who returns-if they wouldn`t of snuck over in the first place, they`d still be okay-all 12 million+ would not be starving to death or getting murdered. It`s their own fault crossing that desert, they know how bad it is. And they sure come up with lots of cash for a coyote when they want the money-so starving,my butt or any other reason to come here-illegally.

I've seen pictures of border patrol cutting them out of car seats they were sewn into, and they have been pulled out of the backs of big rig trucks...they sometimes just walk, it is a long border with NO FENCE.

Well according to my illegal alien cellmate..Raul..he paid a coyote to take him across the American Mexican border..twice..it cost his sister 12 grand to do it..and he never paid her back and now he is waiting deportation again..he likes to shop lift at the stop n shop..6 times..he told me that a police officer and a teacher makes about 150 dollars a month and he used to send that much home every week to his wife and kids..so why not come here and work and make your family's life better than working for nothing back home ...
