Jehovah's Witnesses are nearly certain that at least some non-Witnesses likely meet with the approval of God and Christ.
Note these words from their official website:
http://jw-media.org/beliefs/beliefsfaq.htm
[quote]
Do you believe that you are the only ones who will be saved?
No. Many millions who have lived in centuries past and who were not Jehovah's Witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life. Many now living may yet take a stand for truth and righteousness before God's time of judgment, and they will gain salvation. Moreover, Jesus said that we should not be judging one another. Humans look at the outward appearance; God looks at the heart. He sees accurately and judges mercifully. God has committed judgment into Jesus' hands, not ours.—Matthew 7:1-5; John 5:22, 27.

Jesus said the gate to the true way was narrow and few were the ones finding it, like maybe only 6 1/2 million or so. So, yes, I believe that JWs practice the true religion, and are true Christians, of course there are still many honest hearted ones out there and they will be found before the end, and those in the organization that are not sincere will leave.

True Christians follow the bible....period.
Drawing close to Jesus and God can only be done via STUDY of the bible and adherence to it.
Any loyal servant of God in the past have faithfully served God to the best of their ability, using whatever guidance there was. The same is true today. God reads the heart. Not all JWs will be saved, because not ALL are true.
Even in times of old, there wasn't always a religion to follow, but God sees the heart.
It is up to each individual to see whether they are actually following the bible.

I dare you all, go to watchtower.org and read for yourself what it says as to our beliefs, and you can even read the new world translation yourself it is right on there,, after all how can anyone judge a book they haven't even read? Get you another translation and compare yourself. You will see that the translation is very accurate, after all it was a direct translation from the many scrolls in the museums etc. you can't say that about alot of translations, which doesnt mean they aren't accurate enough to get a grasp on biblical principles or prophecies just that this translation uses Jehovahs' name in the appropriate places that are found in the scrolls.
1 peter 2:21 says to follow jesus steps closely. he is the model for us. what is a model? look it up.

We call ourselves true Christians because we are no part of false religion. We listen to God's Word the Bible and his Son our King Jesus Christ. We obey the command to go and preach the good news.
We are no part of this world.
We abstain from blood.
We will not fight in wars.
We put our trust in God's Kingdom as the only true hope for mankind.
We do not observe Pagan Holidays.
These are a few examples. But you can visit our main web site. The link is on my profile.

The true biblical Christian church is not a building or a particular sect of Christianity, but that the genuine church of Christ, "the congregation of the Firstborn" as it is called in Hebrews, is the spiritual organization that Christ founded upon the apostles that will ultimately have 144,000 members.
According to the scriptures, all of Christ's true joint heirs are members belonging to the same organization—albeit a heavenly one. Paul wrote at the 2nd chapter of Ephesians that God "raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly places in union with Christ Jesus."
God's seating his anointed ones in heavenly places is not merely a reference to their eventually going to heaven. Paul was saying that the act of being born again, or anointed by God's holy spirit, made one a member of that heavenly organization even though they were still quite human.
Notice, also, that in that short verse Paul twice used the word "together." Since all anointed ones are part of the same heavenly organization, as the head of that organization, Christ sees to it that all of his "true followers" are brought into association with each other. That's why Peter made reference to the Christian congregation as "the entire association of your brothers in the world."
Further in that same 2nd chapter of Ephesians, Paul says of Christ's congregation: "But you are fellow citizens of the holy ones and are members of the household of God." If a person is a member of God's household that means that there is membership in an organization. The household of God is the exclusive membership made up of 144,000.

A "true Christian" follows the principles of Christ, believe He is the Son of God, His divine birth, period. Any one that adheres to these simple beliefs is a "true Christian."

Christian means follower of Christ.
Jesus gave very clear guidelines about who HE would consider one of his followers in the Bible. If we aren't doing our utmost to comply - with a free will and a loving heart - to these standards, and sorry for when we don't, why would we consider ourselves someone who followed as closely as possible Christ's footsteps? Not killing, loving our brother, preaching the good news of God's Kingdom, making Jehovah's name known (hallowed be thy name), these principle's and the law of Love ...and so many more... just so manifested by Christ's ministry and life. By these things they shall know you. Christ said there would be one's who "knew" him, but they would not be approved. "I never knew you". he says.
It doesn't matter what we as individuals say we are. There is only one Judge, appointed by his Father, Christ. And believe me, he'll know if you are a "Christian".

For me a true Christian is not someone who follows a certain religion or goes to church every weekend and holidays, but someone who is kind, giving and tolerant of others. Everything else is just hypocrisy.

A true Christian is one who believes God's true word. The King James Bible 1611.
Jehovas witness use their own Bible, which is from the wrong manuscript. They do not belive Jesus is the Christ, or God, so they themselves do not even call themselves Christians usually.
True Christians are the ones who are Born-again (John 3:3). They hold Bible studies, and study the Bible and are interested in Gods word. Their salvation is a gift from God in the form of faith. They are not trying to earn their salvation like the other relgions do.
I hate to say this, but MOST denominations are not teaching the true bible.
