Additionally, John 20 mentions "first day of the week" are we to assume its Sunday our calendar? And it mentions "while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance." This means that he was resurrected before sunday Joh 20:20b "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!" meaning he was risen before the "first day of the week" or "sunday".

This is not meant to debauch any witness, I personally find your persuasion of bible passages and thoelogy impressive. No degrading or insulting comments because I will ignore.

Thanks In Advace.

Thanks for you answer. You deviated from the question and the website although noble has a taint for spiritism and mysticism. No connection with the bible.

Thx for your answer. It seems to be connected but still wanders from my point, this not about "Holy and Great Friday". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Friday

Thx for your answer .Your *opinion* is just that! Your drifting from scripture. John 20:6"Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. " [unquote] After sunrise" where are you getting that info they all ran to the tomb, unless the tomb was miles and miles away then it was "after surise". No base, sorry.

Thanks for your comment. (NASB) Lev 23:32, mentions the sabbath. It was my understanding there is two types of Sabbaths. Still doesn't make sense how it can be 3 days 3nights be friday-Sunday. The text you mentioned gives even more testimony that the "sabbath" mentioned was not "Saturday" our calender. Cus that would be 1 day 1 night.

Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus died on Friday and was resurrected on Sunday.

(John 19:31-33) In order that the bodies might not remain upon the torture stakes on the Sabbath [that is, Saturday]... The soldiers came, therefore, and broke the legs of the first man and those of the other man that had been impaled with him. But on coming to Jesus, as they saw that he was already dead

The Jews then (and now) recognized Jewish days as running from sunset to sunset.

The way I understand it (and please correct me if I'm wrong)JW's don't believe that Christ was resurrected in bodily form - only in spirit - so whether it was Saturday or Sunday...it really wouldn't matter, and the stone didn't really need to be moved. I think that's a pretty significant difference that could seriously affect someone's theology.

Actually yes. We know when Passover occurs and everything that happened is timed around the Feast of the Passover. The Jews have very accurate records for their feasts and observances.

That is easy to answer and explain; and I am not JW either. 'Dark' (before sunrise) when they left, but after sunrise when they arrived. Secondly,it does NOT indicate he was resurrected before 'sunday' as you assert above. Mary's statement, which I am not denying she made it, does not guarantee that is how it was done.
