even if they are stubborn and fall into mistakes over and over, I would never send them to Hell. I would spend my whole life teaching and giving them another chance. I can sometimes put them in time-out or just take their privileges away, just to catch their attention, but I would never send them to Hell. I refuse to believe God will send us to Hell, otherwise I would have to admit my love for my kids is bigger than His love for us, and that's certainly not true.
Therefore, let's forget about this Hell nonsense, please?
Let's accept the fact that there is no Hell, but reincarnation. Life after life, we have the chance to improve ourselves, just like the chances I give to my kids...
Bible verses is not enough.
Does that make sense?

Some of you say that God doesn't send us to Hell, but at the same time, He will judge us, right? He is the one who will evaluate our deeds and our efforts, how come he is not sending us to hell? I don't understand that. Even if one of my children forcefully goes to the wrong way, like the driving drunk example, that alone would be something out of my control, but if I could have control over it, I would never allow my kids to get in a car accident.

I don't wish Osama Bin Laden and Hitler to go to hell, no way. First, I don't have the right to do that. Second, I deserve forgiveness for myself as much as they do. Third, what I really wish is that they regret about what they did and I wish they have the chance in another life to do things better, because I believe ALL of us has the right of a chance.
If someone raped my children, if I had the chance to defend them, I would. If I had to kill the person to defend my children, I would, no doubt about it, knowing that I would have to face consequences about that. Even if I didn't have the chance to defend my children, I would probably look forward to seeing the rapist/murderer in jail (or even dead). However, I would never wish him the Hell, because I know he would have consequences about his acts one way or the other, in another life.

I agree. We all make mistakes, that's what makes us human. I don't believe God would send us somewhere forever just because we made a few mistakes. You make complete sense to me, I don't believe in hell, however I can hear some others who believe in hell who will totally disagree with you.

You're in "hell" now...for all intents and purposes. If you think about it, confusion, lying, theft, etc. are all things that are associated with sinning, so if you're a believer in the status quo of religion, why not believe that you're presently in hell right now?
How can you make it better? How about teaching your kids to love above all, to support people of all beliefs, and to love their mother to the end of time. If the "mainstream religions" are incorrect and there is no hell, you've lost nothing. If there are right, then you will have lived a good life and your God will reward you.
Quit stressing about Hell...and start living your life ( and your kids lives ) like this is your best shot at heaven. My mom is dead...and I'm betting she isn't "burning"...except through my love for her. You might want to lighten up a bit.

Excellent question!!!
However, (also as a parent who deeply loves my only child) ...
God (I believe that He does exist) gave us His only son as an example that we might learn to know Him. That we might become one with Him through Christ Jesus. That we might 'learn the way' through Christ.
Jesus (IMHO) showed us the NEW Way, The New Testament. This supersedes The Old Testament.
God loves ALL of His creation from the microscopic on up. But in my lowly understanding of Our Creator - He wants only those who believe in Him to be with Him.
I do not know the correct answer but can only express my beliefs. God is a loving creature and a jealous one as well.
None the less, I too would find it nearly impossible to send flesh of my flesh, or any other being, to the furnaces of Hell (although I do believe that there are some who do deserve it).
In any case, I believe that Hell and Heaven both exist.
Nice question in any case!

No, God does not send children or adults to a burning hell, most marginal references in the King James Bible where the word "hell" is will tell you the word means "the grave"
If you understand the true meaning of Hell, then you will know that everyone that death takes, goes to Hell.
Definition: The word “hell” is found in many Bible translations. In the same verses other translations read “the grave,” “the world of the dead,” and so forth. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original-language words that are sometimes rendered “hell”; that is, they express them with the letters of our alphabet but leave the words untranslated. What are those words? The Hebrew she’ohl' and its Greek equivalent hai'des, which refer, not to an individual burial place, but to the common grave of dead mankind; also the Greek ge'en·na, which is used as a symbol of eternal destruction. However, both in Christendom and in many non-Christian religions it is taught that hell is a place inhabited by demons and where the wicked, after death, are punished (and some believe that this is with torment).
Is eternal torment of the wicked compatible with God’s personality? What would you think of a parent who held his child’s hand over a fire to punish the child for wrongdoing? “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) Would he do what no right-minded human parent would do? Certainly not! Simply put, the word Hell is translated from the Hebrew word Sheol, which means the grave, where everyone goes when they die.
As far as reincarnation, at the moment of conception, a person inherits 50 percent of his genes from each parent. Therefore there is no way by which he can be 100 percent like someone in a previous existence. Indeed, the process of rebirth cannot be supported by any known principle of science. Frequently, those who believe in the doctrine of rebirth cite as proof the experience of people who claim to recollect faces, events, and places that they have not formerly known. Is this logical? To say that a person who can recount things in bygone times must have lived in that era, one would also have to say that a person who can foretell the future, and there are many who claim to do so, must have lived in the future. That, obviously, is not the case.

I am a mother also. And of course I love them as well. Very much. Just as God loves all of his children. From what us Christians believe anyway. God does not send anybody to Hell. He gave us freewill so we can choose our own paths. God did not create Hell to send us there. He created it for Satan and the fallen angels. God is just as sad to see us go in a bad direction as we are sad to see our own. We believe God loves us with an everlasting love, just as we love our children the same. :) Loved your question.

I have trouble understanding how you can read the bible..if you read it...and deny what it clearly says about salvation. You said 'bible verses' are not enough. = God's Word is not enough. (?-are you for real?)
God GAVE you children...there is no act of mercy or gift you can give to or do for them that EXCEEDS what God has done for you out of HIS Love...and not only gave you kids, made a way that you might spend eternity with them if you all accept Christ. How do you top THAT?
and God doesnt 'send' anybody. We sign our own permission slips (as His Children).

No that is complete non-sense.
You can use your kids who you love as an example.
But would you send Osama Bin Laden to hell? Hitler? John Wayne Gacy? What about if someone viciously raped, repeatedly tortured, then murdered one of your kids?
If you say no, there would be no justice for the victims, rather injustice; but God is a God of infinate justice, ... so you can choose to ignore the Word of God, but obviously ignoring something does not make it so.
Have you ever talked in person to a family member of the WTC attacks or a family member of a crime victim, such as a serial killer?
I really think you should, to get a better idea of what life is really about, without the rose colored glasses.

Yes, in fact through understanding the hell business is at best laughable (meaning utterly stupid). Why did the human race ever fall for it? But i suppose there will always be those who think somehow God has psychological problems which nobody likes to talk about.

Yes,first Sheol is Hebrew for the common grave of mankind, Hades is Greek for the common grave of mankind the some have mistaken as a place of fiery torment. Their is no such thing as this kind of place so your thinking is right.

lets look at it like this, what if ever time your child came befor you they burst in to flames like flash paper, you would do anything to stop this from happening, will that how it is when a person with sin in there life come before GOD,he do not want this to happen but because of who he is this happens,so you would do anything to stop this that is why GOD sent his son jesus,JESUS came to teach us of GODs love for us but above all he came to die for us as a sin offer so we may come before an live in his love and grace, and yes GOD knew that his word would not be enough that why also he sent his son and after his son was raised and returnto him he than sent his holy spirit to live inside of us to help us and keep us always near GOD.
