Just sad really you have to wonder why? Same as making private stuff public just sick. why doesn't yahoo do something about it?

sorry forget to mention i have actually only been coming on here for about 4 or 5 weeks. If the organises did not intend for people to additional posts relating to a question why would they build the facility to do just that into the programme?

for privacy or perhaps the one asking question is shy.
safest mode is to use a code name not someone else's name.

If you haven't read the guidelines for the very system you are having a problem with.... then you should take the time... there is supposed to be no interacting of personal information at all... and the only way someone got it was if you gave it to them... which you clearly shouldn't have done. If someone has your information... you are to blame... you should know better than to share information like that to a stranger... and no matter how much you know someone to think they aren't.... they will always be a stranger and it should be that way... they post guidelines for just this purpose. You feel betrayed because you shared your information? Maybe you should think this through a little more before being offended.

Don't know if this helps or not, but I'm on here as "Dottie R" and there's a person on here as "Dottie". That's actually what I tried to put in when I first signed up for YA, but it came back as already in use. So I just added my initial. Of course, I signed up for YA before really understanding how my name would show up, etc. I sometimes see her questions and answers up here and don't necessarily agree with her. But I don't take it personally.
I'm sorry if this "DavidV" has abused you or your name, but it might just be that your views are different than his rather than him trying to target you.

"Did you miss me", you know as well as I do that what you are doing is the same thing. You chose that identity and picture specifically to annoy the real "me", just like the other "___ me" clones.
How can you expect anyone to take you seriously when you use that ID? I'll say it again btw: you have about a 70% chance of being the same guy as "Mr. Meat" behind the keyboard.

One woman is doing it to one of my contacts completely cloned her I think to cause a lot of confusion and distress to the other lady all because the clone doesn't agree with the original which is wrong were all entitled to our own point of views on here and if you don't agree don't answer there are plenty of other questions it all very ironic really because what the clone accusses the original of is infact guilty of doing this herself by doing all of this, all very childish!!

David, the only troll is Mikey H. He's a hypocrite. Why be surprised that he would do something like that? He exempts himself from all standards of civility. It's a denial of one's own actions and lack of remorse and reflection. It's something one encounters in the "criminal mind".
Rules are made for others.
So any appeal to logic or sense of propriety is lost. You are flogging a dead horse.
And you are ABSOLUTELY correct ... to seek out information does show "intent". And as for "malice" that is easily covered by the question "To what purpose". These are all Common Law principles and elements of an offense. Moreover, having it appear in a public forum is considered an aggravation of malice.
It's a stalking behavior. You can report it as stalking behavior directly to Yahoo... there's an 800 number that you can call. We'd best be rid of Mikey H.

Good question. As its in the V&V section i'm assuming you are referring to the DavidV screen name thats been used the last few days.
on this system you will find people set up second accounts and use similar screen names because others have upset them. It often happens around troll-like behaviour, either against or by those people that don't use the forum properly. They are often the same people that use this system as a game rather than a Q&A forum
I think publishing private information publicly might be an offense if people have given you private information in good faith. It might only be an criminal offense if you can prove intent or malice. If you didn't want to proceed down the criminal path you could take out a civil injunction against the person spreading private information. This could be used to stop them, and in could include all aspects of media such as internet, mail, voice, notices. It would cost about £1000 but if you suceed the subject would likely have to pay your costs.
Looking at the anwers to your other questions it would appear you have upset many people so maybe look at why one or more of those people might want to share your details.
The email I got with your details wasn't suggesting malice, it was just suggesting your details are drip-fed out through this forum just with the intent of highlighting to you that insulting whole groups of people is not a good idea, especially when there are plenty of people here with nothing to lose. The intent i read was to try and stop your questioning style because they were not open nor postive. Your style of question is what has degenerated this forum over the past 6 months. Thats probably upset quite a few people. Then again, the information I saw was just public information about you, not private. If there is private information I haven't seen it being circulated or maybe the people who are most upset have made it public and I haven't noticed.
If you stop and read the answers you get to other questions you couldn't really say you were creating a postive sense of open Q&A around here.
when you ask a question you seem to post a barage of additional comments if people don't agree with you. Asking a "question" implies you are open to all types of answer. You don't appear to be so.
As a respondant, i don't have to be open to your viewpoint, This is not a debating society. Its a place to ask questions about facts. I should be completely free to respond in a way which is opposite to your view without worrying about your additional comments.
Your name, website, mail address, phone number, land line are all publicly availabe information...which you offered to this forum via other question i was told.
I thought letting you know that many people knew your name might have been enough for you to realise that genralising and insulting us "morons" ( as you once said ) probably wan't a good idea because there are people on here who really have nothing to lose and seem to revel in attacking people. I thought you might want to know this and not want them to be circulating your details. It seems I was too subtle. All you did was respond claiming you were serving "papers" on me - you shot the messenger.

Possibly they have a grudge against another user. Very childish, imo.
Also, alot of users have names which are not real. That is the nature of the Internet.
I don't know if I understood your question properly though.

Because Mike is narcissistic. Can't you tell from the crap he writes he's one of those antisocial types? I mean anyone who sells hay to feed cattle to be killed for meat and then b*tches about others is kinda sick, don't you think?
It's interesting the Micky H is critical because additional comments by the quesgtionere are posted. Yet he does the same thing with his comments.
IN FACT, I noticed that when he is nailed on crap information or bizarre conclusions, he will go back and edit his comments to "correct" and escape the criticism.
And YES he does in fact sell hay to people who fatten cattle for slaughter. His excuse was "what should I do, burn it?" Well, how about Micky, raising things not contributing to the death of animals. The UK has one of the best free services for the agrarian community in the world for working out problems. I'm sure THEY could help you find an ETHICAL choice. But then you really are going for the money. That's SICK.
