if your reason for not eating meat is because you think it is cruel...

then why don't you look in you closet, I want you to throw away anything that is made from an animal excluding wool.

Throw out those leather purses, handbags and shoes.

because they all come from animals...

grow up hippies

Why don't you do this?

ps...we as a species are physiologically designed to eat animal. We can attribute much of our evolution to eating animals.

If it's your choice not to eat them because you don't like the taste ok....but if you don't because you think your doing the right thing...I apploud you for your decision, but we all think it's a bit rediculous.

Actually, vegans DO eschew all animal products, including leather, wool, silk, and toiletries/beauty products made from animal products.

And speak for yourself, meat eaters don't ALL "think it's a bit rediculous [sic]." I am surrounded in my personal life by people who understand and respect my decisions. If you think it's ridiculous, that your issue.

A bit hypocritical telling others to grow up aren't you. By the way I don't own any animal based clothing and never will however that is more of a vegan choice than vegetarian. Furthermore our bodies are not physiologically designed to eat meat. The chemical linning in our digestive tract is not strong enough to break down flesh and our bodies strain trying to break down the matter. It takes several days to fully break it down and the extra stress lowers your immune system. The ultimate result is increased risk of colon cancer.

Please do your research before you try to insult others and stop making assumptions based off your own personal view.

Hey, guess what genius!

You won't find one piece of animal skin in my closet...

Hippies... LOL

Would you like to know what is "rediculous" the fact that you write like a fourth grader...
What makes you think that someone as illiterate as you could make a valid point without sounding like an idiot?

Get a life and stop worrying about what other people decide to do with theirs...
Oh and just a suggestion... go back to grade school and learn how to spell...
Maybe it's just all the meat that you are eating. I guess that it's warping your brain.

You make too much of an asumption.

Many vegetarians do not use leather, silk etc

Who is the "we" that thinks its a bit rediculous [sic] ?

If you have anything sensible or logical to say, we'd love to hear it

Out bodies are designed to father and give birth to children at age 10-14. Are you saying thats ok to ? Or is your "we are designed for this" arguement a bit selective ?

There is nothing about the human that is designed to administer cruelty to animals, what part of me has evolved to do that ?

i am not a vegatarian or vegan, but i do not find their ways rediculas.

saying that we are designed to eat animals is a lame argument. if you really want to get into evolution, well we used to be monkeys, we used to fling our poo at each other, sleep in trees, and eat the bugs off of each other. but we dont do that anymore do we...?! the whole idea of evolution is change, species change and adapt to a changing environment. they find a better way of surviving and change to it.
i think one of the reasons vegetarian/vegans don't eat meat is because it isn't nessesary. you can eat a vegan diet and still be healthy. in fact your probably a lot more healthy if you eat vegatarian/vegan.

I am a vegetarian for health reasons.

It is scientifically proven that being a vegetarian will cut your chances of heart disease, diabetes, cancer... everything that is a huge problem for the US population right now.

Even doctors are starting to suggest vegetarian lifestyles. My father recently had a bypass, and it was suggested that he move toward a more vegetarian diet.

Getting educated and taking charge of your health is the best way to go.

So whats your question?

All I see is fragments of badly thought out sentences, that seem to be ignorant opinions and seem based entirely on hearsay and conjecture.

Its quite simple, ask a question, get answers.

Maybe you should look around on the site a bit more and see how it all works before you start posting.

It may help you to look less stupid.

May.

wow i dont think i like the tone in that question! lol but seriously if u looked it up, we really arent supposed to eat or drink things from animals, bec. it is too hard for our bodies. and just to let u know i dont buy anthing from animals. so before you go judging people you dont even know why dont u do some research first.

Some veg*ans use leather products they bought or received as gifts before they went veg. Throwing the stuff away is WASTEFUL, thank you very much.

And unless you're a vegetarian, you really have no right to criticize us. If you're only here to snipe at us and harsh on us for every perceived imperfection, please go away.

I don't have any clothes made of leather or any other animal products. I already thought of that a long time ago.

Try "check spelling"--otherwise you might wind up looking "rediculous."
