I think voting for this current "administration" in 2000 and again in 2004 was one of the most single "reckless" acts an individual United States citizen could do to the environment over the last seven years.
The problem is easy to fix in 2008 though.

I have some money burning a hole in my pocket and carbon Credits seem to be a scam. If I started another bussiness the IRS would just dog me out again even if it was eco friendly so I'm looking at Ford diesel trucks with performance accessories.

Spending billions of US dollars on a hoax, such as global warming, hurts the environment. It increases human suffering and wastes precious human energy. It also will kill millions of children in undeveloped countries. If you want to help society go on living as you would had you never heard of global warming. Contact all your elected representative and let them know that you are one of the educated people of this country and don't appreciate your tax dollars spent on someone else's stupidity. Also although actually Wal Mart has also been duped into believing in global warming they are still the most consumer friendly store in the world. Shop Wal Mart over other giant retail stores such as Macy's or Albertson's which can care less about the consumer . Thank you for listening to this answer based on fact.

I do my best to use more paper towels than I need to dry my hands in public restrooms. I also try to flush twice for maximum water usage in minimal time.

Post Script: Is there any way I can accelerate Global warming...? Too many people are moving into Florida and it's getting crowded. Lets warm it up and make New Hampshire more attractive.

Opposing nuclear power plants.
When one considers that nuclear power prevents more CO2 from being released than all the solar panels and windmills on the planet put together by about an order of magnitude you really have to wonder about the sanity of those who oppose it (and claim to be environmentalists while they're at it).

Numerous times, I see perfectly healthy young people with no physical handicaps, buying a single bottle of beverage (either juice or booze) in a plastic bottle and then asking that it be packed in a plastic bag.
Let me get this straight, you drove all the way to the store to buy one container of juice, which is packed in plastic, and require a plastic bag to carry it (in spite of the fact that you carried it through the store without one) and you need this bag for the 12 seconds to get back to your car so you can drive home, carry the bag and juice to your house, and throw the bag away.
WTF America!?!

I think the simplest is excepting plastic shopping bags from any store. Every store has them, just bring your own cloth one, or refuse the extra packaging and hope that store has a good re-cycle bin.

I knew a forensic police woman who admitted pouring chemicals down the sink, when I challenged her she said "It's ok we have a special licence, so it was legal"
I was dumbstruck.
