for example, I've heard Jesus pronounced, "Jesus-uh", like in that movie, "Cape Fear".

Most seminaries [preacher 'schools'] have courses in homiletics--the art and craft of preparing good sermons from the academic point of view-- but the "how-to" part [relating to your description] probably comes from the individual's sense of drama, perhaps some debate or speech classes, and a lot of observation around the "faith community" to see what style they want to emulate. There are knee-sliders, screamers, weepers & snake handlers...and then there are the solemn & the sedate who just want to get a bit of the truth out there. "Cape Fear" is fictional, but some of the preacher bits were quite accurate...some denominations encourage drama, some do not.

It depends on the denomination. I know that Methodists, Episcopalians and Catholics go to schools to get degrees in religion with an emphasis on their particular denomination. I don't know about Lutherans, Presbyterians etc... Nondenominational churches often have very different ideas on what it takes to be a preacher, pastor, minister.

There's a lot involved in becoming a pastor unless a person is planning on becoming a "store front" preacher. Usually it involves making a declaration of intent to your home church, having a mentor to help you in the local process, college at an approved school, "student preaching" to gain experience, going before a committee etc...............

I probably told you much more that you were asking but I've found that a lot of people think all you have to do is stand up in front of a bunch of folks and talk about God and Jesus.

mostly it is just styles. personal styles. some are built to impress, and get the people emotionally charged. (which does nothing for your spiritual life) Usually the only thing that gets changed in these kinds of preaching is the clothes of the preacher from sweating profusely.
we get so carried away with qualifying a person as a preacher, we often forget to ask God if HE qualified them as such. we alot of man made preachers but not alot of God made and sent preachers

Well, there is Seminary school. You can also get a degree in theology from most private (Christain) Universities. You can also join a monastary and become a monk, leading to priesthood, depending on your paticular brand of religion...

But what you're talking about is apples and oranges. This manner of saying "Jesus-uh" is called an "idiolect"...

Hope this helps!

i do no longer likely see a project with human beings being rich and additionally preaching the Gospel. "submit to in recommendations the Lord your God, for that is He who supplies the flexibility to offer wealth." Deuteronomy 8:18 So in case you place the Lord first and do works in his call then wealth will come your way. "Honor the Lord consisting of your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your vegetation; then your barns would be crammed to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine." Proverbs 3:9 This exhibits that in case you provide in the Lords call then you definately will get carry of further and extra. "yet seek for ye first the dominion of God, and his righteousness; and a few of those issues would be extra unto you." Matthew 6:33 "For the affection of money is a root of all varieties of evil, and a few human beings by utilising yearning for it have wandered far flung from the religion and pierced themselves with many griefs" I Timothy 6:10 So that is not funds that is evil, that's the affection of money and not putting God first that's the sin. Now so a techniques as Benny Hinn, you and that i agree. He to me he's a pretend prophet. He has claimed such extremely some off the wall issues over the years that he has grow to be a buffoon in my eyes. you're able to no longer could beg for funds and promise human beings an "annointing" in the event that they provide. God's presents are no longer on the marketplace or commerce. As I actual have shown in some Bible verses, in case your soul is nice and your observe is organic then you definately will get carry of your reward from Heaven. no longer because you asked for it. study the 1st few strains from Matthew 6 and you will see what i'm saying. the authentic Christian supplies just to furnish. His or her soul is already "annoited" and expects no longer something in return. Now it extremely is the no longer project-free section. because you have given in the spirit of love, then God will return the present 10 fold. that's the wonderful line. assume some thing and get no longer something, assume no longer something and get each and every thing. no longer project-free difficulty for human beings to do and clearly understand.

Did you see Rev Jesse Jackson, on Saturday Night Live? He read from 'Green Eggs and Ham' (Sam I am). I swear that the rhythem, the meter, and the tone is exactly like all of his other speechs!

I think it really depends on the individual...

Many so call preachers goes to college to learn how to preach, But a True minister that is called by God will not have to get his learning from a school, The bible says how can they preach except I call them & how can they preach except I send them.

Yes, but if your not called of God to do so, then your ministry will always suffer some sort of set back. Plus all the souls you lead astray, your punishment will be greatly increased by God.

My feelings are that we are prophets of GOD, some people just express it more dilligently, we all are in contact with the Lord, those that preach, I think, feel him so much in my (our) hearts we just have to let it out, give up to him what he has given to me (us).
