PRN in relation to physical therapy work refers that it is not a permanent position, one would be called in only "as needed" (the meaning of prn) or on weekends...depending on the needs of the facility.

prn means the same thing whether it's in reference to medication or some other form of therapy.

prn means "as needed" or "as tolerated" in this case.

it means that a patient only has to do the physical therapy task as they can handle it.
