I am currently on Microsoft Vista Ultimate. Due to compatibility problems, I am not able to run some of my programmes. I would like to install Microsoft XP home edition on the same computer without deleting Microsoft Vista Ultimate. Meaning that I want to install 2 Operating System in my computer. Can anyone give me some advice. Please give as much details as possible as I am new to this. Also try to make it free.

Read this web site, it will tell you how:

You do need to use Vista's support for partitioning your hard drive. The web site has lots of screenshots to guide you through the process.

Have you tried all the options for running your programs in compatibility mode? This would be preferable I think to the dual boot system.
