Use email.

You need to know who the Cell phones server company is since they all have a different email address. But they all seem to have one that will forward an email to a cell phone as a text message. Such as....
if my buddies number was 555-555-1234 and his cell company was Example. Then it might be sending email to 5555551234@example.net

Here is a weblink that lists alot of the servers for that kindof thing.
