or

Thanks christn 36 res for giving light to other styles of preaching, but I went with just the two for contrast.

BTW - I didn't give anyone the thumbs down. So cross yourselves and pray, we've just been visited by Satan's trolls

Fire & Brimstone with a shot of Southern Comfort. I love the Southern Baptist Minister that gets on a roll. Throws a few Halleluah's in for good measure and the occassional Amen.

Fire and Brimstone with a shot of moonshine. Nothing like a good ol fired up pastor preaching his sermon.

I would say you for got a couple versions.

I prefer the self reflective sermons that make you think and look at yourself. We should spend more time evaluating ourselves for flaws than fixing others.

I like my sermons with jokes that are punchy towards hypocritical thinking.

I want to be challenged and embrace change, so I get to know the real God and not just what I want Him to be.

As far as a shot of whiskey---- I would prefer a southern comfort Manhattan but in moderation.

I always liked the civilized, erudite, and extremely palatable sermons that lasted 5.25 minutes after the Offetory and before Communion in the Catholic Mass. The best ones were always in my hometown of Philadelphia, where the priests are trained at the Vatican and make excellent speakers.

But I never bought the Jesus thing. I liked the ceremonies, but the story was just too fantasy-laden for me to swallow it whole.

I like my sermons raw and well done. Where the message goes straight to the heart and the conscience, not just the ears. You know, that feeling when the pastor is speaking to the whole congregation but for some reason it seems he's talking to you personally. Yeah, those types of sermons
