Love Boxers. They are among the smartest of all breeds. They have a very gentle and lovable disposition. They were originally bred in China as royal watchdog-babysitters. They are instinctively protective of children. They look ferocious and sound vicious, but are bred, not to fight, but to separate. They are also the original "fire" dog...not the Dalmatian. A boxer will instinctively watch-guard a fire and actually tamp out fire sparks or coals

Chihuahua's are my favorite breed. They are very smart, energetic, but are always ready to be cuddled. They also happen to be about the cutest things around. They are the only small dog breed I have ever liked. I always disliked small dogs until my husband bought my 1st Chi.

There are a few big breeds I am found of E. Bulldogs, Labs, G. Retrievers, St Bernards, Huskies, Bloodhounds, and many others.

Is it strange that a person that is only 5 feet tall wants a dog that on it's hind legs can reach 6 or more feet? lol. I've met enough of them, and done the research on them, and aside from the short lifespan they are MY perfect breed.. I don't have one, only because they need a large fenced in yard to run, which I don't have.. (and currently live in a place where we are not allowed to have higher fences than 3 ft which an IW can jump without thinking twice) Great dogs though..

Well, if I had the energy, I would so get another Border Collie. No dog is more loyal to it's master. But no dog is as energetic, and needs a challenge both intellectual and physical so much!

Right now I really like Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, but I own a cross between a Manchester terrier and a Boston Terrier. Super smart, but super sensitive... He thinks himself a cross between a cat/human teenager/pit bull, lol. But he is great.... and a total cuddler, which my border collie wasn't.
