MDMA (ecstacy) will NOT kill you. I think the only reported deaths from MDMA were due to water intoxication. Pretty much, if you're going out to a bar/club and dancing a lot, you're body could get hot without you knowing it, as MDMA affects how your body regulates temperature. Also, if you drink a lot of water.... you can potentially drink too much to the point of dying. Other than that, one time isnt going to hurt you. For anyone who says otherwise, MDMA has been used in clinical trials to treat some conditions, and has shown no harmful effects.

One problem you might have, is that if you're taking sertraline (zoloft) for anxiety/depression, it can actually block the pleasurable effects of MDMA, making it essentially useless.

If you do decide to take MDMA, here are a few tips of advice on how to do it safely. First off, the day before, and day of, take about 2-4 pills each of vitamin c and vitamin e. Both are antioxidants, and will help prevent neurotoxicity, which is what causes the negative side effects while coming down. Be careful of overheating and dehydration, as you won't be able to feel it, but if you're dancing or doing anything that would otherwise make you hot, take some breaks. Be careful on how much water you drink, or preferably add in a sports drink once in awhile, as the elecrolytes will help prevent water intoxication. Don't take any other drugs with it, since the combination of other drugs can be dangerous. Finally, make sure the person you're getting it from is someone you trust and reliable, as getting a pill thats something else could be harmful.

I wouldn't really suggest taking MDMA, especially since you may not feel much due to the antidepressants you're taking, but if you do, then just do it safely, and you should be fine.

Ecstasy is a pretty safe drug.

Generally speaking it will give you a feel of euphoria and well being, and make you feel a connection with everyone around you.

Most of the problems with E related to constant use of the drug, rather than casual use.

Some deaths have resulted from Ecstasy, but drinking plenty of water usually helps (and if someone collapses, take them to hospital ok, and tell the doctor what they took).

In addition Ecstacy will leave you feeling down the next day. Not good if you are on Zoloft.

Finally, avoid mixing drugs, they can cause huge problems. It is not a good idea try it without medical supervision.

Illegal drugs have the problem that you don't know what's in them (and sure some batches are safer than others, but if a safe batch goes around, then other people make copies of the safe batch which may not be safe).

I wouldn't. It will probably mess with you and you might have a very very bad trip.
edit: i don't know about zoloft, but here is for prozac: Note: Prozac is also metabolized by the CYP2D6 enzyme. Taking E while on Prozac will inhibit the breakdown of both the Prozac and the E. However, Prozac also prevents the E from working, and has been shown to prevent Ecstasy Neurotoxic effects as well. The unique relationship between MDMA and Prozac deserves special consideration. See our neurotoxicity page as well as our Ecstasy Slide Show for more information

It will feel great for a minute, and afterward, you will wish you were dead. I gives you a rush of seratonin, and then you are left with none and you will feel really really bad. It is not worth it, not to mention the fact that it causes permanent brain damage. You are also risking a bad reaction by mixing the zoloft with it.

If you never listen to another thing for the rest of your life, listen to this: ECSTASY WILL KILL YOU, THE FIRST TIME YOU USE IT! MDMA messes with the part of your brain that regulates your body temperature causing it to increase. This leads to dehydration as your body will sweat to cool off and this uses water. This is complicated if you are drinking alcohol because, alcohol causes dehydration on its own. Next, MDMA causes the dopamine producing neurons in your brain to overproduce and oversecrete dopamine (overproduction/secretion of dopamine is one of the suspected causes of schizophrenia). This essentially causes them to live their entire lifespan in a day and they die. Over time, this causes your brain to resemble swiss cheese and causes some severe mental deficits. That is why long term users are affectionately called E-TARDS. Is a weekend of "fun" with your friends worth the risks to your health and life? If so, you gotta ask yourself, "Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya?"

don't expect much -- zoloft should nullify the effects of mdma.
there could be other trace drugs in the x that you would feel -- there is no single formula for x. it could have just about anything in it.

Please don't mix Ecstasy with any type of anti depressant! Look up to possible effects: www.bluelight.com (awesome site) or check on the link from www.thepillreport.com
