Haha I wonder how Oregon Flower's opinion would change if one of her loved ones was killed by a drunk diver.
Alcohol can not be outlawed as prohibition has shown in the past. But I do agree with you that alcohol needs to be shown in a far more negative light than it is today, and people need to stop calling alcoholism a disease, I wasn't aware it was contagious.

Smoking: Toxic in any amount.
Alcohol: Toxic only in excess.
Smoking even a little is bad for you and anyone around you. Drinking, on the other hand, is beneficial in small to moderate amounts.
All the problems with tobacco, marijuana and crack (stuff that gets smoked) can only be solved if those substances go away altogether. There is no dose or amount of any of these that is small enough not to poison the human system. Even when pot is used as a pain killing drug, it is still toxic to the system.
The problems with alcohol can disappear completely if people use small to medium amounts. Therefore, it isn't the alcohol itself that is the problem, but the ABUSE or overuse of it. Too much of anything will kill you, and that goes for alcohol in a big way.

Because the people that complain about smoking like to do it with a beer or a drink in their hands.
If we have to make drugs illegal as opposed to medicalized. Why not put the most dangerous drug at the top of the list. Alcohol.
Do you know how much cheaper things like alky and tobacco are in the rest of the world?

Excellent question. The booze industry has more money to line more political pockets. Besides, someone had to take the fall and tobacco drew the short straw.

Because second-hand smoke kills. If a drunk stands next to me, their breath might be foul, but it won't affect my health.
