I mean, it's like eleven o'clock at night here. Well he said he wanted to tell me about the "truth", but he had one hand in his pants pocket, and , well kept ....fidgeting. He had a Watchtower magazine, but, he seemed, more "excited" about the good news than should be reasonably expected. My husband came close by the door and the guy ran away down the street. Do you think it was a real Jehovah's Witness knocking so late?

In my opinion - no. Good thing your husband was around. They come by my house all the time, usually VERY EARLY (they stopped after the last time I finally invited the lady in and pulled out my Bible and told her about the Truth!)
You need to be careful these days. Honestly, I open my door to no one! Sad but better to err on the side of caution. That guy could've picked up that pamphlet anywhere.
Be safe!

Hi. We usually stop preaching door to door at around 9 pm or so at the absolute latest and that's when it's still very well lit outside. That is very weird that someone would do that. I sincerely hope you didn't just get visited by some bad guy trying to gain your trust by pretending to come preach the Good News about the Truth to you. Please make sure your door are all locked and that you are safe inside.

In the United States, a householder will occasionally call the police demanding sirens and guns regarding the two professionally-dressed, experienced ministers who actually hoped to share a specific Scripture from an open bible, at 11 o'clock in the morning. One can imagine the responding officers' thoughts when they arrive in the neighborhood twenty minutes later and the ministers are still knocking on doors further down the street.
Such householders seem somewhat paranoid.
The questioner above does not.

they're good human beings, in the main, and that i'm helpful your mothers and fathers have your perfect pastimes at coronary heart. you be responsive to which you're to appreciate and obey them, and that's biblical and stable. that is not stable so you might misinform them, even nonetheless. you will certainly finally end up mendacity to them and then your ethical experience will project you, unsurprisingly! aside from the reality that by utilising the time you're sixteen or 17 you or your boyfriend could now no longer want to cling out mutually, you're able to evaluate what that is that is protecting you to the JW faith. until you come across any teachings they have that are no longer biblical, you will continuously be beholden to the Watchtower Society. And it heavily isn't until you attempt to pass away which you will discover the administration they have over you. that is not that the JWs are 'undesirable human beings' - that is that a tiny team of adult men in usa have have been given tens of millions of JWs accepting each and every thing they say, without question. no person is authorized to brazenly disagree with something. no person is authorized to pass door to door pointing human beings to Jesus Christ as God's in basic terms way of being stored - that faith in Christ on my own is what saves us from our sins. All i will say to you is which you're able to start up analyzing a Bible (like the NIV or the recent living Translation) without analyzing Watchtower literature that tells you techniques you're able to realize it. Please only study the Bible by utilising itself, prayerfully, and learn your NWT with different translations. concentration on looking out only who Jesus Christ extremely is and why you're able to bend your knees in Jesus' call in case you're to be stored. in basic terms the Holy Spirit can instruct you and you have been advised you may't assume to get carry of Holy Spirit anointing - by utilising that tiny team of adult men who declare to have that! Ask God in prayer to direct you by utilising the Holy Spirit, then start up analyzing the Bible with a view to interpreting extra approximately Jesus - no longer searching for affirmation of what you have been advised. Please.

No. I would say it was a potential rapist who was using the JW line to get inside.
