We have a compulsory fasting a full month of Ramadhan. We have breakfast before dawn for shubuh praying and then fasting for about 14 hours .We break our fasting at the beginning of night after we hear azan or pray calling for maghrib. We break fast by eating sweet frood such as dates or stew bananas with coco milk and sugar. If we could not fast because we are ill or for women have a period for certain days,we should replace it by fasting for same number of days
we could not fast after Ramadhan. On the first of Sayawal (the followong month)we heve Idul Fitri. On this day we can not fast.
On the second day up to the seventh day of Syawal we can fast also for Syawalan fasting (optional). After that we can fast for replacing the same number of days we left of fasting. We should make it up in several months before the coming of the following Ramadhan. If someone has a longterm ill more than one year he/she should pay fidiyah (giving foods for same total days can not fasting to the poor)

If you broke your fast for a legitimate reason (traveling/sick/mesus etc...) then you just make that day up on any day after ramadan other than eid or friday. If you broke your fast illegally then you must fast 60 days straight after Ramadan.
