think of a reversed washing faucet.

that just washes your bottom then you dry it like your hands.

most bidets have a small fountain of water that sprays a stream of water on you. It helps to know ahead of time that the water is coming.

You sit, you do your business as normal, you flush, bidet does the rest for you except for the drying part.
